      PROBLEM RESOLVED!

I tried a full reinstall (I uninstalled Amiberry, rebooted, deleted all remaining config files, rebooted, reinstalled Amiberry from source) and this solved the problem. All my games (so far) now load with their verbose filenames. It even solved some, but not all, of my problems with games giving "Volume DH0 is write protected" as an error.

      Thanks for all the help.

Well... this seems to be the temporary fix... finally! Works good for me on the latest build. Just do what the user AnalogHero recommends at the bottom of the thread and it will load as it should.

      @backstander

I don't think so. I'm looking for a file that would effect one game only. I suppose I could do it for all games at a push.

Have you got legit ROM files like from Amiga forever and include the rom.key file as well.

Also check your kickstart rom oath matches where your rims are and do a re-scan for Roms

Actually, scratch that. I see now the game is still running fast, no matter what. I have suggested myself by the fact that it actually is still quite playable and some minigames (hospital, top down ants) look normal. The rest, I thought maybe it's down to my NTSC TV. But after comparing it with a cycle-exact version on my PC it's definitely a bit faster.

So I've spent the whole evening yesterday trying to sort it out, to no avail. I've also remembered discussions about this subject here over a year ago: https://retropie.org.uk/forum/post/105234
Basically it boils down to RPi's Amiga emus lacking the cycle exact option. Some games require it, especially in WHDLoad versions. Barbarian is another good example. The "solution" was to run adfs of these games instead, but for ICFTD it does not work either. Bummer.

This is confirmed as a bug and is in the process of being fixed and tested.

@George-Spiggott said in New Amiberry relese and Libretro Reicast update:

Is it possible to install it on Retropie?

Through the retropie scripts i don't know, but you can build it the official way :

      git clone https://github.com/libretro/reicast-emulator.git
      cd reicast-emulator
      make platform=rpi3

After that you'll have to edit your emulationstation configuration to make use of the reicast_libretro.so you just created.

Hi evryone and thanks for all the hard work,
I had the audio bug too (sound was really garbled) until I (apt) install libsdl2-ttf-dev and modify my
      RetroPie-Setup/scriptmodules/emulators/amiberry.sh to go with SDL2
      and update from source.

@LineOf7s Well then, probably the fact that my USB stick is formatted as exFat.
I guess I'll give it a break with Amiberry for a while.
Anyway, I am just updating my system, including the big one (second list item from the RetroPi-Setup Script). Given I get my PS3 controllers working on Bluetooth again afterwards, maybe Amiberry also behaves differently :-)
