      @meleu

      I loaded up 'Adventure Island' a bit earlier and it's listing itself fine now. I still don't know if there's an issue with the title or something on my end, but everything seems to be in working order.

      @weiserlinker as @herb_fargus stated, it is probably a header issue. Try downloading a few roms from another site.

      Glad to hear that!

      Just for reference, I have posted a Youtube video that also shows the usage of a SNES reset button with the ControlBlock. You can find it here.

      Honestly, I can't really see something like this becoming successful. The Atari 2600 has the AtariAge crowd that loves developing homebrews and putting them on carts, but I personally don't see this happening with the NES. Not that it can't happen, but I think that the motivating force that drives their homebrew community isn't really there in the NES communities.

      The 8-bit era was when a lot of iconic franchises like Mario, Castlevania, Final Fantasy, and Megaman came of age, and much of our love for the NES is tied strongly to our memories of those games. If you take a look at some of the 8-bit indie games out there like Shovel Knight, a lot them play the nostalgia card and are meant to remind us of those franchises.

      The Atari 2600 was more about the games and not so much on characters (even Pitfall Harry is rather generic), so the focus becomes more on what you can do with limited sound/graphics and a one-button joystick. Unfortunately, that way of thinking doesn't work for the NES because it raised the bar for gaming as whole, and gave rise to memorable characters that we are now attached to. I can look past the fact that Wall Jump Ninja features a generic ninja and wonder what the gameplay is like, but my first reaction with Eskimo Bob is, why should I be interested?

      @meleu @itsnitro Is there a way to connect my cartridge slot to the pi and get it to run? I would like to keep as much a I can original, and I will refurbish it a bit. But I'd still keep as much as I can original. Possibly even the remotes VIA an adapter. Even the metal plates I'll keep. So if there is a way to convert my own current slot to the adapter that would be great. (Also I live outside of the USA, so shipping can be very expensive.)

      @ortsac hate to hijack this, do you have pictures of your completed project? You may have built exactly what I need to build myself for the misses. I am looking to also emplace a Pi3 into an authentic NES console, for use just for NES and SNES emulation. I would like to bounce some ideas of you if possible as well as get some feedback/guidance of any issues you may have ran across.

      @MRZ999 yes this is how retropie still works. Unless your using a older version from around 1 year and half ago. There was a change to how retro arch saw controllers by the order they were plugged In, but was reversed shortly after.

      @edmaul69 I am using:
      Tomee NES to PC USB Retro Controller Adapter Converter - PC Mac Linux

      I have two of them, I tried having both used for the joystick plugs, and tried with one adapter for the player 1 plug. Thanks for the tip, I will give it a try👍
