Please limit yourself to one post on an issue and as a matter of etiquette, there's never a need for overly dramatic topic titles. Everyone here is more than happy to help without them, you just have to be patient. I'm closing this, but will leave the original open.

@mitu I have solved the issue with the controller!!! I have pressed for 3 seconds the function button to switch controller from X-mode (Xbox) to D-mode (Android) and now it functions.
I'm so sorry to have posted this support request.
Thanks however for the help you gave me.

Thanks mitu. I didn't see that topic in my search. I'll try a few things. :)

I have a sub to emumovies.com. I wonder if I can overwrite their files to my card. I'll have to check the file names.

@heshy did you remove the core_freq overclock as well?

Did other N64 games work fine? Is it just super smash that you had issues with?

      @psychol324 Hello

Choose all ... this uses config /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch.cfg - you did that already.

The parameter for the save pathes can made dynamical if you use $1
So /home/pi/RetroPie/savegames/$1 for a GameBoy game will be /home/pi/RetroPie/savegames/gb
/home/pi/RetroPie/savegames/$1 for a NES games will be /home/pi/RetroPie/savegames/nes....

In my humple opinion /home/pi/RetroPie/scripts/SavePath.sh "all" "/home/pi/savegames/$1" is the best setup

It saves STATEs and SRM files into one location in depence of the system (gb, nes, snes) and used the config file for all base settings.

Instruction point 5 can be understand following. Usually the setting for savefile_directoryand savestate_directory are commented out with a #.
So you have to set them "active" by uncommenting them.

So if you already have setted them up like savefile_directory = "/home/pi/RetroPie/savefile" you are fine.
So the script will always overwrite this: like savefile_directory = "/home/pi/RetroPie/savegames/gb"
Hope I was clear now ;)

Although I use xinput mode on my gaming PC i will give it a go as I can just use my duelshock 4 on my PC so i'll give it a go and update you guys on the results.
Edit: nothing in games like dinput and unlike dinput the trigger didn't work so it looks like switch mode is the only one that works however as I said I use that for my switch so is there anything else I could try or am I stuck with switch mode.

"Now for me to look at the easiest way to back up what I've done on my SD card in future so I can revert."

If you are using windows just use win32disk imager. Its basically just the inverse of putting the image on the card. I have learned to always make an image back up before making any major changes to my setup.

      Okay so update!
At long last I figured out the issue... Hallelujah!
I opened up the hardware and looked hard at the xin mo encoder. I had a diagram to reference where the connections need to be beforehand in case.
I then simply unplugged the 2nd player side's 4 pin (up, down, left, right) connector and turned it around and plugged it right in and BAM! All of the configurations read right and the controls were as they should be!
Hopefully this can help anyone who was at a loss like I was. It seems when all software issues fail... Check the physical connections to verify. 😂👍

@jblock22 On the bright side, you do have what sounds like a Pi3, which is a supported computer, you have a cabinet someone built with arcade controls, USB ports, a display, and a nice enough design that you were interested in buying it. A build project with just this hardware alone is a serious undertaking, and getting one that looks nice enough to sell is no small feat. Depending on how it was built, you might also have a controls interface of some kind.

Now, the software is the real questionable part of all of this, but you can easily re image the SD card with a known working image from this website and join the community. You will need to open up your system and do some investigating into what exactly you have which might entail some google searching as well, but once you know what you have and you are willing to work with it, you can probably turn this in to a great system. It will take work and interest, but it can be a fun hobby.

Maybe that is not why you bought it, but there could be a silver lining.
