      @waitingmoon I've adapted the changes submitted by @Zigurana and eagle0wl and submitted a new PR, which was accepted recently.

      If you're using RetroPie, you can install the emulationstation-dev package (from the experimental packages section) and try it out.

      gone completely

      Remove package retropiemenuunder "core packages" in the retropie-setup utility.

      Remove directory ~/.emulationstation/gamelists/retropie and everything in it.

      Remove directory ~/RetroPie/retropiemenu and everything in it.

      Edit /etc/emulationstation/es_systems.cfg and remove the "RetroPie" system entry:

      <system> <name>retropie</name> <fullname>RetroPie</fullname> <path>/home/pi/RetroPie/retropiemenu</path> <extension>.rp .sh</extension> <command>sudo /home/pi/RetroPie-Setup/retropie_packages.sh retropiemenu launch %ROM% &lt;/dev/tty &gt;/dev/tty</command> <platform/> <theme>retropie</theme> </system>

      If you have one at ~/.emulationstation/es_systems.cfg, make the same edit there.

      I think that should about cover it? Now...

      hoykey for retroarch

      Edit your autoconfig file for your gamepad(s) at /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch/autoconfig/[gamepad device ID].cfg and remove all lines that look like these (your values will differ, and it may say axis where this says btn or vice-versa):

      input_menu_toggle_btn = "3" input_reset_btn = "0" input_save_state_btn = "5" input_load_state_btn = "4" input_state_slot_decrease_axis = "-0" input_state_slot_increase_axis = "+0"

      (Probably leave "enable_hotkey" and "exit_emulator" intact, or your players won't be able to quit, or will quit every time they hit Start.)

      Yes, cheats are available, depending on the emulator used. RetroArch is the main emulator used in a lot of systems and it supports cheats - see the doc page on how to enable and use cheats.

      @erickwilson thank you for the advice. I am currently playing with a temporary keypad. Waiting for some of the retro keypads to come back in stock. Seems like there's a shortage on them right now.

      @lostless thankyou. This has been driving me crazy but you hit the nail on the head. I had a driver installed for a case that had the option for cooling that must have used those pins. I uninstalled the driver and it is working now.

      No, there is no such configuration available - the screensaver exits on any input (unless you have enabled the 'Screensaver control' option, when they either scroll or start the game).

      @berseco

      Use Google translate to read my reply. That's what I did to read your issue...but in the future, try to post in English as more people will read and answer it. No disrespect to you or your language, it's just more common to use English as the middle of the road for everyone.

      Go into the RetroPie Menu for audio by using the actual Retropie Menu, not the emulation station shortcut. Once you're in the RetroPie Menu, look for the audio options and switch the output from HDMI to 3.5" Audio jack.

      The menu is easy to navigate, you'll see it.

      The board is just an amplifier, but to make sure your audio output is set right/working, use a set of headphones to test it. If you hear sound, you know the issue is your amplifier.

      Hope that helps.

      @djmoss Using some light google-fu, I managed to find this one:

      Although it doesn't have the game characters in it. There's a download link in the comments somewhere, so maybe it can hold you over until you find the actual one you want.

      @skykid said in Despair over controller ports constantly swapping:

      I hear setting up Samba on OSX is a ballache, which is why I was looking for an easier option.

      It's not, you can access the RetroPie shares from macOS without any issues:

      open Finder, select "Go" menu and "Connect to Server". Type smb://retropie and hit "Connect".
