      @dankcushions
      I did see that set. It's on my list of things to get.
      I see in my future getting a merged set of ROMs to save download time and creating my own non-merged set afterwards.

      Do you think my 9 year old PC might be powerful enough to run most games on the latest MAME? I know it is leaps and bounds ahead of the Pi, but I don't know how PC processing power compares to arcade hardware.

      EDIT: Forgot the age of my PC

      You would put what you want scraped in the 'Games/Roms file extensions' line. I have chd,m3u. I do not use bin or iso.!

      @kmancali , on top of what @mitu said, if you want to have some systems directories in different mount points (or partitions) symlink just those directories:

      /mnt/roms/amiga to $HOME/RetroPie/roms/amiga

      while $HOME/RetroPie/roms remains in the main partition

      @alphabetapie most of the dat files for the supported MAME emulators in retropie are available in the docs: https://retropie.org.uk/docs/MAME/

      so from there you can see how many versions of a given game there are. on latest mame i can see 2 versions of vcop and vcopa (revision A). these don't seem to be language designations.

      doing some research: http://adb.arcadeitalia.net/dettaglio_mame.php?game_name=vcop

      0.155: Changed 'Virtua Cop (Revision A)' from a parent set to clone.

      so it might be that rev a was the japanese version and from 0.155 the parent is USA language, or it could be a system menu thing. but without logs or any kind of diagnostic info we're just guessing.

      @jimiretro Usually you get a message only on errors.
      If the mount command worked, then check if the roms folder is populated, then start EmulatonStation.

      @jorgejohnson72 You can exit EmulationStation (from the Quit menu) and run, from the command line:

      sudo apt install p7zip

      Go back to EmulationStation by typing emulationstation.

      Thanks @thorr69

      I found deleting the RTB files in:
      retropie/configs/amiga/amiberry/whdboot/save-data/Kickstarts/

      Then restarting sorted out the issues I was having. I think there were some leftovers from the other files causing a conflict perhaps. Sorted now though.

      You can find old versions of Retropie here - https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/releases

      To be honest, I would try a different version of the rom and see if that works rather than downgrading Retropie.

      @yfzdude thank you for replying, I feel that I do have to research/find other methods of transferring ROMs to my Pi/RetroPie though than this flashdrive, because frankly I've had more flashdrives fail than MicroSDs! (blame the amount of moving parts I guess...).

      Are you sure your USB drive is mounted as /mnt/Retro Drive ? Is the user that's running EmulationStation (RetroPie installation user) able to access the driver and its contents ?

      @jamrom2 If you removed the brackets from the file names, then you have to remove the bracket from the script too. :

      croppedfilename=${filename//Disk*.atr/}

      You know, it's a quick and dirty script, written only to save time with the common format. If you change the format of your filenames, then you have to adapt the script to your format.

      @clyde And the Sega Megadrive & Genesis Classics where already mentioned/discussed in that thread more then once :P maybe it would be time to split that one into "collection of sources" and "announcements for sales" for items from "sources" %^]
