I tried to scrape my library yesterday and got an error 429 - "Too Many Request Responses".

I assume there's something wrong with the servers so it's not working as it should. I tried now and got the same results. Will wait until tomorrow and give it another go.

To sum up, you were right. My duplicate entries are due to the fact that I have the same game twice, but with a diffrente name (see example above) because it was released in another country.

All my issues are solve at the moment. I only have to take the time to manually remove the duplicate games.

Hi, cery strange issue..
I can't scrape anymore samsho4.
Every time i try to scrape it the program crash.
I scraped with mame, neo geo, but always the same result.
I'm on newer version of uxs..
This appen with only this rom, for now..

The source mamedb.com is down. I have the same problem, hopefully the site will be back soon.

@RomiBraman the release date should be there. Otherwise you are more than welcome to contribute to the database (www.screenscraper.fr)!

There are many tricks with the UXS to change what media you get. Soon the v2 will be released with huge improvements (so I heard), and making those tricks easier to use.

I know this is an old thread but I lose my snes scraped data every time i restart. I have tried to shut down multiple ways. Any Ideas?

@sselph Hey man i have already a gamelist with boxarts and metadata for every game on every system and now i want to use your scaper to add videosnaps to every game. The problem is that i want to append my gamelists and when i do that it doesn't work. It's downloading videosnaps only if i choose overwrite gamelists but i will lose all the metadata and boxarts that i was fighting to build over a year now.
Is there a fix for the append option for gamelists?

If your gamelist.xml is being over written you can check to see if you have "save meta data on exit" enabled (press your start button and go to 'settings' If I recall coreectly). If you do not disable it, emulationstation will overwrite your manual XML entries. Turn it off before you jump to prompt or ssh in to edit your game list.xml. You will also need to restart in order for your manual entriesnto appear as well.
