Ok, thanks for the information. The buttons you guys suggested look better than I had envisioned. I didn't have any specific dimensions but I was more looking for something round so I can drill through the side plate vs. something square which I don't have equipment to do properly. :)

@petrockblog I think you can best answer on this ;)

I saw your switch built in a NESPi case - it should fit perfectly in.
But what will happen in the following scenarios:

I use a momentary switch and press the button to powerdown (I think it's clear what will happen) I use a momentary switch, do a shutdown via software (Quit >> Shutdown system)

The Mausberry switch fails in this case, because it will miss the physical button press and therefore needs a GPIO signal sended to the Mausberry circuit (Take a look here).

If you don't do this modification the Raspberry will shutdown as usual but the Mausberry switch is still active and does not respond to any button switch. So you have to cut main power or reset the circuit to make it work again.

I also tried xboxdrv recommended by someone on reddit, that didnt work too

I've got the first twist on Nickell Andrew (riking) running.
When I start the Joy Con driver via an SSL-Shel it works fine.
But I do not manage to start the driver automatically at system startup.

Took a slightly different approach and called the multi-switch shutdown script from etc/powerblockswitchoff.sh So that I’d keep the main driver intact.

Thanks again! This was something so simple that I overlooked. Totally missed that the script could issue the necessary ES shutdown without tying it to a physical switch.

@steptoe I have seen builds of people having their outlets built into their machines but they never really show how it is really done which is what i would like to do with this as well but the thing is i need 2 USB ports on it as well for the Pi and for a 120mm fan i plan on installing and of course one of the plugs i would be using for the monitor.
The other thing is i need something like the first link you showed which i can never really find a proper tutorial on how to set that up cause that is something i plan on doing also.
Oh ya and also my build will be slightly different with the option of the arcade stick being pulled out from the machines because my stick i am still trying to build is a USB one and plan on putting a 4 USB hub in it so it would be easier to hook up other controllers/joysticks.

I already think to this with a friend and the best solution is the second.
Like it is used in Kodi.
Every one can add and use the media he want like he want without any new coding.
And it use less memory for guys who don't use many media.

But like you write it is harder to code :(
If i found some one who can code the second solution it will be the best.
If not i think i will try to code myself the 1rst easy solution for the moment.
Maybe you have the skill to do it, but for myself i haven't :(
