@rridenour I was wondering if you were able to fix this? There is alot of interest in the DolphinBar Wiimote setup these days and the jitter is annoying at best. I'd love to hear any config file tweaks you made.

Not sure if this helps, but this link will take you to a script that will install the xwiimote and xwiimote-tools packages.

Once installed you should be able to connect and configure the wiimote using the instructions here.

      Hope this helps!

@xxxARCH3Rxxx plug it in. Sync your wiimotes to it. You need to go and undo everything you just did though. So it doesnt have any conflicts.

      Hello,

I have this same issue and after some research i have determined that it is a problem with how wminput uses the blue-tooth adapter.

Here is an old Ticket for wminput that explains the problem a little better.
      http://abstrakraft.org/cwiid/ticket/71

Using -d appears to be what causes the issue.

When I remove the -d flag I can ssh into my raspberry pi however with -d enabled I cannot.

      HOWEVER:

By removing -d you cannot add a wiimote after the system has started.

You can connect them when the retropie screen appears by pressing 1 and 2.

Yup no problem. I also feel like the guide should be more specific in stating the SSH and terminal spam problem, other than in the issues section that may not be noticed. I'm just not sure what section to state it in.

Well this is what happens when you realize Retropie doesn't yet support direct I2C connections.

Re-attached half of a nunchuck cable, going the Bluetooth route as it seems that's the only way to connect a Wii controller+accessory to Retropie.

      @BrunoBronosky

I just followed the MotlenGamepad method (after not being able to get the first method to work) using a new WiiU remote with a classic controller and it works perfectly.

This thread saved me a lot of frustration. Thanks.

I went through this a week or so ago. I got to the part about the pin also and left it a zeros. It gave me some error but if you go back to the setup menu and tell it to connect it should connect when you scan and hit the 2 buttons on the wii controller. Here is my thread on getting mine to work.

Long update, but I resolved this issue using the Mayflash Wireless Sensor Bar (https://www.amazon.ca/Mayflash-W010-Wireless-Sensor-DolphinBar/dp/B00HZWEB74/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1525130286&sr=1-3&keywords=mayflash+wii), which circumvents the pesky control configurations.

      Thanks, everybody!
