      Some good news for Sega System 32 fans (Golden Axe 2, Jurassic Park, ...), dink found some nice performance optimizations for this driver, so FBNeo should now be a pretty solid choice for those games on pi4.

      No problem, man. One other thing, though. You'll have to resize the screenshots or they'll looked squished.

      Here's some pics of my cocktail arcade - I am no carpenter and messed up on the corners but overall satisfied with how it turned out!

      I'm doing the same kind of theme currently but for crt friendly display (very light ) :) . But I can't garantee the publishing for the moment because I use some artist works that need approval for sharing outside my personnal use. I complete with mine too, yes it's a long work.
      Make sure you can use the drawings you find (if it's for community) because I have saw some beautiful blueprints style artworks of console but copyrighted and used in books or commercial merchandising.

      https://retropie.org.uk/2020/11/retropie-4-7-1-update/

      RetroPie 4.7.1 images are now available from the Download Page.

      Unfortunately a couple of bugs crept into the EmulationStation front-end for the 4.7 release. A performance issue causing EmulationStation to have a poor frame rate and an bug affecting its built in scrapers.

      The performance issue affected Raspberry Pi 0/1/2/3 users and is related to a problem with the EmulationStation GLESv2 renderer on the legacy broadcom drivers (we have switched to the previous GLESv1 renderer for now).

      The scraper issue affected all systems, and was a problem introduced recently in the development branch that we missed.

      These issues are resolved in the 4.7.1 image. If you have already installed the 4.7 image you don’t need to re-download. Just choose the “update” option from the main menu in RetroPie-Setup.

      @Ranma

      You're welcome, I'm glad you're finding it useful.

      I got a lot of requests for a Zero 1 image of my setup, and while I exclusively use my Zero 2W in my Pi Case, it seemed interesting (i.e., difficult) just from an embedded systems design standpoint so I decided to give it a go.

      It was a challenging project but worth the results I was able to attain at the end: Neo Geo Pocket Color, of all things, was the most difficult system to get working full speed on the Zero 1's anemic hardware.

      It appears the TI-99 logo in this theme (regular and metadata versions) is still showing as the TRS-80 logo. The TFT version of the theme does have the proper TI-99 logo. I'm not sure if this theme is still updated but just thought I'd mention as it’s a fantastic theme.

      I've updated OSK to be flush with RetroPie's master branch. It'll compile now. You can grab it from my github

      I'm very interested in OSK. That's really the only feature I wish ES had. How do I set this up?

      Very nice job on those cabinets! Just Beautiful.
      I personally like the Tron one. ;-)

      I kinda miss the fighting game cabinet designs. Most guys when they build bar top cabinets they use Nintendo characters or classic arcade game designed decals/bezels. I would love to see a nice Street Fighter or any NeoGeo fighting game designed cabinet.
      Another thing I wonder is the button layout out. Is that chosen on purpose or just matching the decal design?
      I cannot imagine to play all too long on such a cabinet without getting wrist pain. When I used to build my own arcade sticks I always went with the Japanese stick and button layouts or the same one like Hori does for their sticks. Check here.

      @PetroRie

      But lets be honest, everyone who uses RetroPie or any other emulator got their roms illegally.

      I certainly don't want to come off as a complete contrarian, but this is also a common misconception. I live in America and there is indeed a legal source to obtain just about any ROM you would ever want. I won't go into the specifics of how and where, as this does not carry over into other countries, but there are also a few other legal ways to obtain ROMs throughout the world as well.

      About Kodi I think the devs are more worried about people selling boxes loaded with plugins ready to stream movies and tv shows.

      This is indeed more troublesome from a legal point of view, but they've also gone on record several times about their disappointment and disillusionment in seeing something they've worked so hard on being almost universally mistaken for something that stands directly against their own personal beliefs.

      @jabulator thanks man!

      I'd like to highlight that kind messages like this injects enthusiasm in any project.

      After 5 years contributing with open source projects related to retrogaming I saw that contributors in general are exposed to a lot of (undeserved) negativity. And messages like this make the difference. ;)

      @hubbachubba looks like you're having problems for editing scripts on windows and then trying to run them on Linux.

      Something like what this guy was having here.

      Also, keep in mind what I posted on the OP:

      UPDATE: The method described here became outdated after @pjft implemented custom collections to EmulationStation.

      I'll keep the post for historical reasons, but I recommend you to use the ES custom collection feature instead.

      @Global-Moderators could you guys please lock this thread? The trick in the OP became outdated and this topic exists only for historical reasons. Thanks in advance.
