    How about one called:

    localarcade

I'm going to try to build a custom theme for just my favorite arcade games (just the MAME games I remember the most in my local arcade from the 80s). Its a bit different than "favorites" because I don't want gameboy, SNES, etc.

Okay, I've got the Konima code working!

I switched the controller mode for the SF30 Pro to "Android Mode" to get the triggers to recognize in the configure input menu. Thanks @Rion for pointing me back to that thread.

I paired the controllers again in the bluetooth section of retropie-setup.sh, and went through the configure input process in ES a couple of times just to be sure.

I am seeing the es_log file being written to now! Something I want to make clear is for anyone else testing is that inputs are only logged while in a core/system menu, and not while the ES Menu is displayed. This also means that the passkey (Konami code) can only be entered while the gamelist is visible (not the ES UI menu).

Here's my output which also answers my question about isValidInput... it's yes when the button press or keydown event is true and no when the keyup event is true.

@ruckage Not fan of these emulator boxes. There are way too many other emulation boxes that do a better job like the Nvidia Shield TV. Original OEM Hardware will always be the best and can never truly be replaced. You can use your carts, flash carts, HDMI adaptors, original pads, pheriperals, no lag, and no glitches. Ps i’m looking for parts to repair my PC Engine let me know if you plan on selling the original motherboard.

Just in case someone here can understand Portuguese, I was interviewed for RetroAchievements-related podcast and talked about the history of how the cheevos feature was implemented on RetroArch, the backstages of RetroAchievements, my gamer life and other curiosities.

    @bytethis said in NES Zero:

@yahmez Interesting build. What are you running for emulators ? Just out of curiosity, do you find it's easy to see such a small screen playing , and how long does the battery last ? Nice of you to provide the schematics.

For emulators, anything with the old school standard button layout of of d-pad, a, b, start, and select. The screen is tiny but Gameboy and Gameboy color are perfect. NES is pretty good although text is pretty much unreadable unless you're very familiar with the game. I've been using only NES games which I'm familiar with. The battery lasts about an hour and with the power boost I can charge and play at the same time.

@spiky Are you able to share the result of that step - I don't have a PC available in order to generate the file. The rest I can do on my Mac.

Since my original post I finished the graphics on the bezel. Many thanks to Escape Pod for the printing and installation; they did an awesome job!

@meleu said in How RetroPie project changed my life:

Yesterday I was interviewed in a podcast talking about my contributions for the RetroAchievements project and some "behind the scenes" info.
During the interview I also talked a bit about how the RetroPie project was a big and positive influence in my life.
If you guys are interested in hearing it (and probably have some fun with my foreigner accent), you can check it here:

The work you and the other devs do for RetroAchievements really cannot be praised enough. It's something that is invaluable to me, as the achievements make me want to play some of the old games more just so I can get them. Some of them are really clever too, like the Michael Jackson moonwalk achievement for Sonic 3.

I’ve just registered to say I love this! I’m currently building my long awaited man cave and would love one of these in it!!

I’m a complete beginner when it comes to raspberry pi etc but am pretty handy with the mechanics/electrical side of things.

An I ask what games you have?

    Many thanks!

@Rookervik why do you not update Carbon without the carrousel ribbon and replacing the logos with flat red versions of the same?
