    I posted the working configs in my process thread here:
    https://retropie.org.uk/forum/post/46824

    But honestly, you'll benefit from doing the work yourself too. One of the things in particular is that the controller I'm using (Wireless Xbox360) is mapped on my device as Joystick #5, and Event #7. If you only have 1 controller, yours may be listed as something like Joystick #0 and Event #1 or something. Also, it looks like it's picking up a serial number or something in the actual device name, so it might not work at all. But you're more than welcome to give it a try, maybe you'll get lucky. Also, I'm using the default keyboard mapping in the game, so if you've changed it, you'll want to reset it.

    I just double checked, and it doesn't look like the the port assignment is needed for anything more than identifying the actual button maps. The configuration uses by-id so it'll work no matter what port or joystick # it's assigned to. The only issues you'd have would be if the controller you're using ISN'T the same, and if the ID is incorporating a serial number.

    @BrunoBronosky

    I just followed the MotlenGamepad method (after not being able to get the first method to work) using a new WiiU remote with a classic controller and it works perfectly.

    [NEW] Device B8:AE:6E:B4:9B:A8 Nintendo RVL-CNT-01-TR
    [CHG] Device B8:AE:6E:B4:9B:A8 Connected: yes

    This thread saved me a lot of frustration. Thanks.

    @mikedyj If you look in the Wiki there is a section about sound issues https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/Sound-Issues

    Read through this and try the suggested fixes. Also try another HDMI lead if that fails.

    Shaders can be set under retropie setup - Configedit (005), Configure basic libretto emulator options (0), configure default options for all libretto emulators

    Checked my internet router, the pi doesn't connect to it; so I can't access it through ssh can I?

    Unfortunately no. Without a means to provide input, I'm not sure what options you have other than re-loading from an image. However, there are many people on here more skilled than I, that may have some ideas.

    @BuZz said in No ports section with fresh install and (still) no Bluetooth?:

    @alrdtakn1 It should be fixed now in RetroPie-Setup 4.1.9

    Okay cool, I'll try it out tomorrow.

    And how about the Bluetooth. What can I do to test if my Bluetooth is even working? To rule out I don't have a defective RPi.
    And what can I do to make it work? I do have a Bluetooth USB dongle. I could use that one (I think it is Raspberry compatible) but I prefer to use the one already available in the RPi3. And I don't know how to make the usb Bluetooth to work (I guess I should chose the USB Bluetooth somewhere instead of the build-in Bluetooth)

    I too found that additional bluetooth devices could not be added while the PS3 driver is enabled.

    @rmiller6 If the scenario is exactly what you described and what you want is
    player1 = keyboard
    player2 = joystick (the only one you have plugged)

    The only thing you need is edit /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch.cfg and look for the lines with input_player1_device_index (same for player2), remove the comments and do the following:

    input_player1_joypad_index = 20 input_player2_joypad_index = 0

    The index 20 is a high and inexistent joystick (who has 21 joysticks connected?!) and it makes the player1 unplayable via joystick, only the keyboard controls it.
    The index 0 for the player2 is the first joystick connected.

    This isn't the only way to achieve what you want, but I can assure it works. I've just tested here before posting.

    @sselph said in Running ROMS over HTTP share?:

    If you can mount it via /etc/fstab as a folder in linux (which it looks like you can) then it would theoretically work.

    I think you are talkimg about webdav. Webdav should also work. Imho the smoothest way is to use a cloud service and synchronise Pie+Cloud. Then you still have a local FS (fast) paired with a server option (relieable and secure)

    You're using the wrong romset. With MAME/NeoGeo/Arcade it's different compared to other systems. Lets say the roms have a version which is called romset, each emulator supports a version of the roms.

    Just take a look at the following page:

    https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/Managing-ROMs

    You see the name of the emulator and which romset (version of the roms) it supports. Now lets say, you can convert them to other versions. You can do this with clrmamepro. The tutorial is right on that page on the link above. There is a video tutorial on the page, just follow along and you'll get it. I know it looks confusing but if you do it its pretty easy and simple.

    Oh almost forgot. if you want to play neogeo games you need the NeoGeo bios files. Just use Google for this, we're not allowed to post links containing illegal files. But the first result in Google has the file. Put this file in the rom folder.

    So lets say you're going to use the FBA emulator, you need to put the roms inside the FBA Roms folder, in this folder you also need to add the neogeo.zip (bios files). Oh and you never unzip MAME roms. They always need to be in a .ZIP file.

    It's not that hard at all. The only thing I hated was the long upload time when I uploaded the entire romset to the Pi lol.

    @ebtalk If it did not overheat after you physically attached the button and the behaviour only started after the script was installed then that is your issue. Remove the script. Reboot and see what happens. Then re-initialise the script. If it is the script then remove it and start again. To be honest it should work or not. It just sends a sudo shutdown -h now command to the Pi. Just seems very odd behaviour. Maybe find another script and compare the two.
