@mitu Well that can be arranged as I tested the VLC mode and it still worked right, however there's still no game info displayed.

What could possibly be causing that? Something wrong with the chosen fonts? The font files? The resolution I'm forcing it to display at (resolution mode is meant for a screen installed in an Arcade1Up gen 3 cabinet)? I'm trying to think of anything that might mess with its subtitles and can't come up with anything.

EDIT: FINALLY figured it out. In video screensaver settings, VLC Resolution needs to be set to Max. Doing that finally shows the game info. Gonna guess this has something to do with video mode, but I don't know for certain. Either way, that fixed it.

@mitu said in Usb drive mounting problems:

Just assign a letter in Windows to the partition and erase the folder on it.

So yeah, apparently that was the issue, that somehow a retropie-mount folder was also in the EFI partition:

    b69d38b3-7559-4999-a9cb-f8773c110bf9-image.png

Assigning letter H: to the EFI partition and checking through admin in powershell I can see that there is a folder structure and it looks the same as what I see on the desktop on the RPI400 when it fails to load the HDD. I just removed everything from H:

So let's see how it behaves from now on. If I don't come back to this thread asume that it was solved.

Thank you very much both of you for your help!

Do we not have this for Retropie?

No, bsnes-hd is not available in RetroPie.

@friendlist21 I'm afraid I'm not familiar with those roms. This qualifies for a ticket on Github please. Just ensure to rely on the latest Amiberry (5.3) and Retropie (4.8) please.

@Bernie @sliderem Hello, My Pandora 3d controllers does not detect by raspberry pi4. I have installed Sanwa joysticks in my Pandora 3d. Also added usbhid.quirks=0x16c0:0x05e0:0x040 inside cmdline.txt. Do you have any idea? Is this because of my Sanwa sticks on pandora or should the Pandora ID remains same after joystick replacement? Really appreciate any suggestions.

Yea, nice summary, looks like we did not get far. haha ;-)

I think we have to keep on digging.

I found an quasi88 for sdl2 and have succeeded to compile it on debian 11 on x86_64.
Will try that on the RPI4 too, and hope I will get it fullscreen.

@hawkes_84 I'd like them to do an M30 Pro with dual analogues, hard to fit on the 6 button layout though. There's a cheapo Chinese one that sort of does it, they've tilted the buttons the other way to make room for the right analogue. From what I could work out though it's not a proper 6 button layout, one of them is for turning on autofire.

Got a 2.4G M30 on the way for my real Mega Drive, can't wait!

@Darksavior thanks for the advice. I think I'll return the 1440p monitor and get a 1080p one.
I can always upgrade down the line.

The issue seems to be the mirror chosen supports IPv6 and the PI tries to connect via IPv6 to it, then fails. Changing the mirror may work, but you can also configure apt to use IPv4 only - see here.

Should be possible, why not ?
Use the GPIO inputs for simulating keyboard keys input and map them to the emulator's controls. For this bit you may need some additional configuration or scripts to interpret the GPIO pins state, but other than that there's just configuring the emulators' input for the actions you need.

Some time has passed from this post and just wondering if anyone has a fully working version of House of the Dead for the Saturn with working sound? This isn't a rom request, just looking for advice/experience if anyone was successful.

I just tried to boot with just the lid of the NESPi case removed, where the SATA-to-USB adapter is located, which was of course plugged into one of the Pi's USB 3.0 ports.

    Now it boots without problems!

Since these problems started after I performed an update of RetroPie, I suspect an EEPROM update of the Pi made the SATA-to-USB adapter incompatible. I never would have suspected the case lid as it has worked without problems in the past.

At least we finally found the problem. I'll now try to fix this by updating the firmware of the adapter in the case lid and report back whether it worked.

Thanks for your help, mitu! :-)

@daubsi said in Retroarch Menu is not shown anymore:

@windg Ok, understood! So you’re saying that retroarch itself sometimes corrupts the config when using its own function to save?

It is not corrupted, but changed from the default settings that selected for the proper RetroPie operation and it happens everytime you save the settings from RA menu.

is there any alsa applet for panel?

    Yes, I think it's the lxplug-volume package.

audio config always says enable pulseaudio

Are you using the latest RetroPie-Setup version ? Did you run an update after installing from the RetroPie image ?
