@Arrafart This topic has nothing to do with your problem - the original poster had an issue with the video output of their Pi system, not with a specific PS1 game. I'd also like to ask you to stop bumping old topics, related or not to your issues/solutions.

@Mayonaise said in audio bugged out:

is there any alsa applet for panel?

      Yes, I think it's the lxplug-volume package.

audio config always says enable pulseaudio

Are you using the latest RetroPie-Setup version ? Did you run an update after installing from the RetroPie image ?

"Entering Power Saving Mode" is actually an issue with the monitor and not the pi.

@frank-0 the original pi3b is slightly slower than the pi3b+ but on my older pi3b I managed to get the CP System III games working on fbneo. That emulator was built with the capcom games in mind I believe.

Also pro tip, of you're playing street fight 3 2nd impact play it in wide-screen! One of the few arcade games that has that ability natively.

@NiCKOz if you are using the headphone jack you need to open up the file /boot/config.txt and remove the # in front of the line #disable_audio_dither=1 and save the file.

@kkostis said in Gamepad and Light bolt problem (Rpi3):

May some updates caused that problem?

Sometimes it can happen that a system update will tip you over the edge of what a power supply can handle. If that is in fact the case here, then you were probably at the borderline all along.

@Floob Thank you for the heads up. When I've got some time (possibly over Easter) i'll look in to it. I have to admit, this has been on the back burner somewhat as we're in the middle of decorating, but each time i bust Retropie out the fact i've not got my Amiga set up the way I want does bug me!

@neobium Please use the @+name-sign or click on reply so the user you might want to talk is mentioned. If the WIFI IP is the one you've setted in the config and you can't connect to the Pie via WIFI then your security key (=WLAN Password, WPA passphrase.... ) might be wrong. Please check this first.

To varify use CLI and use ping command
      ping your router first
      ping 192.168.1.1
      or via router hostname
      ping myrouter.ip
      ctrl+c stops ping command!

or you can try wget command to download some files
      wget http://www.retropie.org.uk/
you will get index.html from retropie

Or are you behind a company proxy and want to play some games while in work? ;)
Or is your subnet mask the right one? Is your router setted to only pass trusted devices?

Are you able to optain a connection via DHCP? if yes then use the method @hansolo77 and myself explained. Change the hostname with raspi-config and you can use any IP you want .

I still have a question related to this topic.

My workaround works, but it requires a reboot of my RPi which is not very convenient - does anybody know a way of disabling a CPU core online? On non-ARM CPUs it is possible by echo'ing "0" to /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpuX/online, but here it won't work.

      Thanks.

@GtBFilms Thanks for the info. I had a look at the ROM libraries I have for the emulator on my Mac and they don't even total 1GB, so that will give me plenty of room for other 'stuff'.

I've borrowed a keyboard from work so I have that and the memory card in my possession: the RPi was delivered today but whilst at work, so it's at our local depot.

Looking forward to getting my hands on it and getting started now: I have the Retropie installer downloaded and Retropie itself, my ROMS are all in situ and ready to go: so now it's just a case of build, install/setup and hopefully I'll be good to go!

I like the idea of having it connected to WiFi, I'm not going to install a tonne of ROMS, just my old faves and a few never-played titles, so being able to transfer one or two wirelessly now and again would be really handy. Plus it is 2016, so really WiFi setup should be a given!

Thanks for your help: no doubt I'll have more questions thrown up after installation, but fingers crossed it all goes ok!
