unfortunately, I do not know how to help with your actual issue; just for anyone reading, according to the specifications, the Raspberry Pi 3 B+ actually does have 5 GHz Wifi: "2.4GHz and 5GHz IEEE 802.11.b/g/n/ac wireless LAN"

@phillylive when you say "crashing," you mean it kicks you back to the command-prompt? And it sounds like you already have a keyboard connected, so you should be able to correct it this way. Type exactly:

nano ~/.emulationstation/es_settings.cfg

(Make sure it's all lowercase like this, and that squiggly dash is a "tilde," not a regular dash. Single space after nano, no other spaces.)

Scroll down to the string section (past all the bool and int values) until you find the line that says:

<string name="ThemeSet" value="your_problem_theme" />

Change the value to "carbon" (the default theme), then press Ctrl-S, Ctrl-X to save and exit (if you make a mistake, you can exit without saving by just using Ctrl-X; tell it "No" when it asks if you want to save anyway.)

Then you can type emulationstation to restart ES, or you can reboot.

@jeepdrvr if you can reproduce the issue on the standard image we can help you troubleshoot it there. A potential solution might, or might not, port over to the custom image (you'll be on your own trying it there, though.)

The issue got fixed and it is now safe to updated the xpad driver to the latest version.

No, updating from RetroPie-Setup will need an internet connection.

@mitu it's just curios issue i obtain right now.
i open file explorer \Retropie and it's ask to me credentials.
Tryed to put some of combination like "pi/raspberry" "pi/retropie" "retropie/raspberry" and it's no works.
From file explorer i put \192.168.1.159 (ip of my pi4) and all shared folder it's be open whitout any request.
It's a windows 10 recent changes ? Lol.......

Can you add more info about your hardware ? Do you have multiple displays/video outputs enabled ? What is your desktop environment ?

@mitu sorry I made another edit. I want to pass that as the %ROM% parameter so we can make another menu entry for the level editor.

You can also install it manually from the drivers section in RetroPie-Setup.

The Audio settings in the RetroPie system (or audiosettings in RetroPie-Setup's configuration/tools) is doing the same thing as the raspi-config options.

@Simrose At the time of the writing of the guide the 5.10.x was hit and miss. Maybe it is more on the "hit" side in the meantime. I guess 5.15.x is the new "hit and miss". In any case: Good luck.
