Awesome, thanks! I'll give that a try next time. I just reinstalled everything since that seemed to help last time. I'm going to try quitting and shutting down retropie correctly and hopefully I just won't have that problem anymore.

Delete the gameboy retroarch.cfg file, update to the last Retropie script, and reinstall the emulator.

Could be that annoying bug that many people faced with the new version. Really what @Floob said; check the following file:

/opt/retropie/configs/psx/retroarch.cfg

If it has a lot of code you need to delete the file, update the RetroPie Install script, re-install the emulator(s). I had a similar problem with the Genesis emulators and this solved it, I hope it works for you like it did for me.

Yeah, I saw the select 1-4 controller tool. I think I need to see that in action in a video before deciding to do it.

Doing it the way @lostless described works great except the hotkeys leave the Xin-Mo and go to the priority controller when plugged in. It's a minor inconvenience.

I want to leave this as streamline as possible since this will be in my office and lots of people who do not know how to use the Pi can still play it and navigate it in an intuitive way.

Well , in my opinion documentation about this core is little confused.
On windows i`ve success launching lr-mame but lr-mess_2014 seems to be broken.
On retropie I don´t know what can i do to test the core.

Saw your edit - You can add it there if that works too (in which case it will actually be sending both parameters but if it takes the last that's fine).

new issue the aspect ratio of ES and retropie when it boots doesnt fit my screen i have tried turning on and off the overscan relay with it off it looks a little better but the screen is still stretched to far. what should i do now. nvm my tv set itself to wide screen set it back to normal and its fixed you can close this.

@Freddy2370 I get that from you first post but unless you fill out all the details required, nobody can help you. At the moment, your question is "it's not working, why?" without telling me what exactly is not working.

Thank you. Already did. Y is not popping any virtual keyboard in lr-caprice32 as stated in the wiki. It does in capricerpi (with the sensitivity bug which makes it useless)

Anyway if I find an answer, I will update the current thread.

Is there a download link where we can find old compatible paks?

it's still in raspbian tools, under "Configuration / Tools" from the main menu.

Thank you changing the config did the magic.

But it would be intersting why only certain tv got the problem.......
