No, I havent changed anything. Just bought a fresh PI3 and installed the premade SD image without any further tuning/overclocking.
Thx for your feedback. It's a normal black closed plastic case (Rydges Pro Case). I will put some heatsinks on it and watch the temperature more closely.

@roleo it does change your post - since you mentioned nothing about your setup/OS.

Assuming ODroid-C2 with Ubuntu - it is unsupported and I am not working on it. I don't have one of the boards.

If you are a developer you can start by forcing platform "odroid-c1" as a starting point.

Hmm, that's strange, I will have to go check it out. If you don't notice a drastic issue with Golden Axe's sound, I am not sure what is happening on my end vs. yours or anyone elses. I didn't change any sound options for anything, it is out of the box sound over HDMI and other games work just fine. I will try and update everything and see what happens in the other cores with Golden Axe.

I can confirm this is a common problem - especially when the program encounters a fault and exits to terminal. To properly shut down the computer I have to SSH into it and "reboot" since you can't use the keyboard hooked up to the Pi anymore at that point.

Couldn't pin point the problem with this, so I've done a new build. The kodi on this build is running at 10% idle.

The only thing I can think off, is ive written a script which is cause kodi to sap up the cpu. Will just have to test as I go along to find what was causing it.

You may have a file named /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-joypads/MayflashLtdMayflashMDUSBAdapter.cfg or something. AFAIK, RetroArch will get the configs from this file no matter if you have a MegaDrive or an Atari 2600 controller plugged. It can be annoying.

When you want to come back to this issue, my suggestion is to hardcode the mappings for atari2600 in the file /opt/retropie/configs/atari2600/retroarch.cfg (you may want to have a keyboard plugged in order to solve the issues you mentioned for start button, etc.). @Rabash Did you ever manager to solve this problem? I've followed the Robo-Butler guide as well, and the python script picks up all button presses on the wiimote, but when I get to the gamepad configuration screen in RetroPie, it says "1 Gamepad detected", but pressing buttons does absolutely nothing...
