Not, I not have. This happened with all roms scraped with Universal_XML_Scraper64 . This not making any sense, is not a big deal, I know, all roms are working fine, but, should be more perfect without it. I really wanted to see all rom in a list and not inside that "fake" folder named nes...

I updated the core and it still doesn't work. Nestopia and AdvMame all work great for me with no calibration/tweaking needed. Just plug and play. Nothing works on Genesis Plus for me, re: light guns.

@PhoenixFlood Installation from souce will take considerably longer than a normal 'from binary installation'. I wouldn't be surprises if it took more than 1 hour. If you don't want to be logged on the PI while it's compiling, you can use screen to leave yor login session running and log off the PI while it's compiling.

EDIT: for the record, on a Raspberry PI 3b, with a stock Retroie 4.4.x installaton, it took about 24 min to compile from source.

@Guibianche check that your roms have supported extensions. If they are zipped you will need to unzip them. N64 supports .N64, .z64, .v64. Psx supports .Img, .iso, and .bin (with .cue)

Not to my knowledge (and certainly not here at the moment).
If you're having trouble reading and speaking in English - so the documentation and the forum seem hard to use - then I can recommend using Recalbox - which is a similar project and has both support for French in the user interface and in the forums/docs.

@Shane1 That's not really a RetroPie related question, but more of a programming/hardware question about your controller and how it should be set-up.
Is your controller identified as a gamepad by Emulationstation in the input configuration dialog ? How did you set it up - what configuration have to done in Raspbian to get it recognized ?
Can you give more details about the controller hardware and how it's connected to the PI, etc.

@jackangry1 There are a number of games whose native display is designed for a cabinet with a mirror in it.

I have used the automatic method several times and had no problems. I'd say that if you are able to play games but not scrape them it is mounted correctly.

If scraping worked with the Selph scraper before you started using the USB Mount but it no longer works I'd say that the issue has come about through the USB mount. But your games play so it's not so much a retropie/emulationstation issue. You can't scrape so it's more than likely a scraper issue. My next step if I were in your shoes would be to poke around in the scraper's configuration to see if there's a way to point it to your mounted drive. If I couldn't find a way around that I would do one of two things:

Update the scraper (probably the easiest) Uninstall the Selph scrape, update the retropie-setup script and reinstall the scraper

If neither of those worked I would find someone that knows more about that particular scraper. I'm really not versed in that particular bit of software at all and don't currently have a build in a state to experiment with it (I'm outta SD cards)

Adding --verbosity 3 adds no extra details.

Just to make sure your API-key is right, try:

curl 'https://api-endpoint.igdb.com/games' -H 'user-key: <your_key_here>' --> should return an authentication failure AND

curl 'https://api-v3.igdb.com/games' -H 'user-key: <your_key_here>' --> should give you a JSON formatted array of ten records.

So the URL changed from api-endpoint.igdb.com to api-v3.igdb.com.

By the time I will file a PR at Github. In the meantime you can help yourself:

Do edits in ~/RetroPie-Setup/tmp/build/skyscraper/src/igdb.cpp: The values of the variables baseUrl and searchUrlPre should reflect the new URL.

Then:

sudo ~/RetroPie-Setup/retropie_packages.sh skyscraper get_opts sudo ~/RetroPie-Setup/retropie_packages.sh skyscraper get_bins sudo ~/RetroPie-Setup/retropie_packages.sh skyscraper build sudo ~/RetroPie-Setup/retropie_packages.sh skyscraper install

Clean (optional):

sudo ~/RetroPie-Setup/retropie_packages.sh skyscraper clean

Run Skyscraper again as in your original post. It should work then.

No something messed up as none of my keyboards worked either. I restarted from scratch. New image on and card and am setting up the usb load prior to adding my game collection

So, in an effort to avoid the tedious measure of having to open every single file folder and move the required document, I just moved all the folders over and the system only loads the files that it can play. Only difference in the way I did it and moving each file individually is that all of my multi-disk games have their own folder now. System doesn't even register the CCD files.

Try adding the following parameters in the /boot/config.txt file

disable_audio_dither=1 audio_pwm_mode=2

then reboot and see if it makes a difference.

I'm sorry, this was a total newbie question. I'm figured out about TAB in stella since. I also gave up on the steam controller and bout an 8bitdo one. Seems the support isn't quite there for the steam controller yet.
