@dankcushions Hi Dankcushions, actually you were right! It is Rohga Armor Force! It’s just that the video in the link you gave didn’t show the exact tank I used. But you can select the tank that looks very much like a Tachikoma in the game. Thanks for answering my question! You really made my day. Been thinking about this game for so many many years!

Without any error info/message, it's difficult to guess what's wrong.
Can you post the contents of the /dev/shm/runcommand.log file, after you've started a game ?

@CodeKing Try installing the desktop first - https://retropie.org.uk/docs/FAQ/#where-did-the-desktop-go - and then selecting the boot to desktop - https://retropie.org.uk/docs/FAQ/#how-do-i-boot-to-the-desktop-or-kodi.

Make sure you're package list fully updated first - run sudo apt update from a terminal or use the RetroPie-Setup update function to update the OS/packages.

The Pi4 doesn't support the rotate_display parameter anymore - see https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/configuration/config-txt/video.md. At some point, it was possible to use display_rotate=2 to flip the screen, but after a firmware update this year, this is also no longer supported.

There is some guidance on how to rotate the display on the Pi4 here or at a similar post here in the forums.

You press Start to open the EmulationStation menu. How exactly did you de-activated the on-screen help or switched themes ?

@jgeibel @wossquee Not sure if you still care about this, but this is now possible by using the new retroarch core dosbox-pure. Just tested it out and now I'm able to get this pinball game working vertically on my cocktail table setup. Now to add 2 flipper buttons on the side so it plays like a real pinball table.

Also note that I had to change the IRQ setting to use IRQ 5 instead of IRQ 7 (the default) to get the sound effects to work.

Ok apparently there is a compatibility issue with the display driver, because if I uncomment that the display doesn't work. They have drivers that are compatible with Retropie on the Rpi3 but not the Rpi4 yet. I guess I'll reach out to them and see if they have a solution
