      @m2306 Mame2003plus started to use analog as default for some reason. Change it back to digital in retroarch.

      @polish-potato said in Keyboard won't bring up retroarch menu.:

      Edit: Only the NES emulator does that for some reason. Ah w/e it works. :)

      You might have saved manually the RA config in RGUI for the NES system, overriding some of the configuration that RetroPie sets automatically. You can check that by looking in \\retropie\configs\nes\retroarch.cfg - if it's a large file with almost all RetroArch options, then you've saved it - or reset it - from the RGUI.
      To make the keyboard and gamepads work at the same time, I think you need to have menu_unified_controls = true in the config file.

      Yeah I like the keyboard one better, but maybe someone has some advice if this is still possible with the joystick type. I would think it would be but who knows ;)

      It's OK I found how to have the Kempston Joystick at the start of Fuse :) you have to add the following line

      input_libretro_device_p1 = "513"

      to file /opt/retropie/configs/all/zxspectrum/retroarch.cfg

      Hello,

      Here is the solution I found :

      1/ In the file /home/pi/.attract/emulators/Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator.cfg :

      executable /opt/retropie/supplementary/runcommand/runcommand.sh args 0 _SYS_ mame-libretro "[romfilename]"

      2/ In the file /opt/retropie/configs/mame-libretro/emulators.cfg

      lr-mame2003 = "/opt/retropie/emulators/retroarch/bin/retroarch -L /opt/retropie/libretrocores/lr-mame2003/mame2003_libretro.so --config /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch/retroarch.cfg %ROM%" default = "lr-mame2003"

      3/ In the file /opt/retropie/configs/mame-libretro/retroarch.cfg

      input_remapping_directory = "/opt/retropie/configs/mame-libretro/"

      4/ In the file /usr/sbin/rgbcommander/rgbcmdd.xml , section MAME, place :

      <emulator binary="mame-libretro" name="Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator" active="Blue" inactive="DimGray" arcade="1" retropie="1" retropiebinary="retroarch" reference="arcade">

      5/ To continue using overlays (example for the game 1943)
      Create the file 1943.cfg in the directory /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/mame-libretro/roms :

      input_overlay = /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch/overlay/arcade-artwork/1943.cfg input_overlay_enable = true input_overlay_opacity = 0.900000 input_overlay_scale = 1.000000

      and in the file /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch/overlay/arcade-artwork/1943.cfg :

      overlays = 1 overlay0_overlay = 1943.png overlay0_full_screen = true overlay0_descs = 0

      And the overlay image must be placed in /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch/overlay/arcade-artwork

      6/ In the file /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch/retroarch.cfg, set the parameter config_save_on_exit :

      config_save_on_exit = "false"

      Finally i found a really easy solution We Just need to press

      Ctrl+Alt+F2, login, then write emulationstation, to go back Quit Emulationstation and press Ctrl+Alt+F1.

      The mouse works like a charm in atomiswave and mame, just put the game, go to Retroarch, Quick menu, Settings, Input p1, Move the mouse Index and the mouse to see it, no need udev nothing! Just that. I try to logout but now Raspberry pi OS have a Login Graphical screen, so we can't logout and run emulationstation just from a desktop Shortcut. But is a solution to shoot in games.

      @NINJAcupcake798 drastic is not open source so there is currently no chance of a libretro version. However the main dev for drastic posted something recently that he would be open sourcing drastic after the new year so there is some hope that there may be in the future.

      @BuZz That was exactly it at least for me and your question was all it took to figure it out. It did something to mesa/nvidia drivers in general and i realized i was in a "I dont know wtf that repo did" situation.

      I ended up nuking it finally tonight (been super busy lately) and removed that ppa from my script entirely..My fault! I kind of wonder what the other guy did and it would be great if he posted if he figured it out for someone else later on down the line because it may be different from my situation.

      I don't have triggerhappy on a Playstation Classic, but it is linux and has a systemd.

      There is with "Network Command interface" also "Command interface" support but I don't know how to use this, I guess maybe echo a command at the process?

      Yes. Some games you can manipulate by changing setting to 2 coins/1 credit if the game in question has that option, some do not. I have tried re-installing mame 2010/ 2003 but same outcome. Will probably do a fresh install now that the pi-4 is out anyway. Thanks for your input.

      @DimaKompot works great installing the "evdev" python package from source:

      sudo apt install python-dev python-pip gcc sudo pip3 install evdev

      Thanks for your work, a decent way to calibrate was needed.

      @mitu so far I've changed every setting I can find to fix this but it's either fully stretched or displays in the far right bottom corner with most of the screen cut off including the retroarch menu
      I gave up editing config files manually and just adjusted the screen from within retroarch gui, it ended up being an odd size resolution tho
