@badviper Would you please advise what steps I need to take to make my retrolink usb controller work with n64?

      Do I need to use lr-mupen64plus-next? I selected lr-mupen64*-something*

Do I need to modify /opt/retropie/configs/n64/InputAutoCfg.ini?

Do I need to reboot or only restart emulation station?

I don't understand the GUI option for selecting a Select button since my controller doesn't have one but games need that, right?

      Any other steps?

      Thank you!

EDIT: Actually I don't know much about the different updates occured, apparently a man named Francois is the one who developed the strong Kronos branch. I think some of these updates have made it upstream(?) of yaba-sanshiro and thus reflect much better emulation.

devmiyax is the author of yabasanshiro, he forked it from yabause after getting some of his PR to yabause rejected (iirc), main features for this fork are dynarecs for arm/aarch64 cpus and a gles3 renderer => that's what you want on SBC & phones FCare (François) is the author of kronos, he forked it from yabasanshiro after getting some of his PR to yabasanshiro rejected, main features are a cached interpreter and a modern gl renderer => that's what you want on pc

      That runs pretty good

The videos are using my libretro port of yabasanshiro, i would recommend using the standalone version instead : due to how standalone works, i couldn't get an important feature speed-wise (async rendering) to work in the libretro core.

@mitu I'm sorry. I'm new. I am using lr-stella. I wasn't sure how to switch to the other emulator. Thanks. I'll check out that link. I've been Googling my butt off but nothing was coming up.

@beldar So I thought there were regional differences between dual shock 4 v2's (Japan having the better dpad). There aren't. It was just a fluke. That dpad wasn't supposed to be in that V2 at all. I've found out that a lot (maybe all) of V1 dual shock 4's have that superior dpad. Apparently Sony thought they improved the dpad design in the V2 by making it more matte and grippy. But for me the older dpad plays miles better so I bought some broken V1 controllers to harvest those dpads. :)

This sounds like Something you should post in the Help and Support section. People there might be able to help you. I have no idea as to what could be causing this, sorry I couldn't be of more help.
