First time I hear this kind of - obviously wrong - explanation. Check the permissions on the folder and make sure your $USER owns the folder where the scripts are saved. You don't need to use sudo to edit something that's in your home folder.

Could also been something I mucked up; since I installed using net-inst, I checked the permissions and they looked fine.

@drylightn I just tested it myself and what I suggested is still correct. And you should be able to skip with any button on the controller, but that's isn't too important - that you can skip is.

Once you have configured every other controller but before you confirm the controls at the very bottom, use the D pad to move back up to the triggers. Then try to assign the trigger buttons, ensuring that they are set to +AXIS (Mine shows up as 2 and 5 for left and right triggers respectively).

@RetroDuck Re-read the forum rules - there's no download links to ROMs or other copyrighted material.

I was testing the controller parsing utility of LEDSpicer when I found that was not working for that emulator on the retropie, so I used a different approach, now is working, I found out that I cannot depend on other programs functionality.

@greengrounds but yeah put the power supply into that hub. Then the power supply is giving power to the controller and the pi.

With pcsx-rearmed you can press escape and the menu is black with white monowidth font.

The lr-pcsx-rearmed is retroarch and has a colored menu gui.

I would try installing and trying the other of which you haven't tried.

If it is pcsx-rearmed then the controls will still need to be mapped. Navigating the menu to do this I think is possible with the controller but perhaps easier with the keyboard, as well the escape button needs to be pressed. In the controls menu, assign the buttons, if you press left and right on this screen it will show you Keyboard/Joystick/All binds. And don't forget to save the config when you're done.

You could also try installing the alternate driver, for sixaxis/playstation. The sixaxis helper driver is newer and allows other controllers to sync and use bluetooth.

I ended up purchasing another class 10 sandisk 64 gb micro sd card and flashed the stock retropie Zero w image from the website. On boot - got the same result. I began to wonder if it was perhaps just the fact I was using a 64 gb card. So, I purchased yet another micro sd card, this time 32 gb. I’ve had no problems with it whatsoever. It’s been running like a charm!
