    Stumbled into those two titles which look quite interesting:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alien_Syndrome there are NES and SMS ports, but the arcade version is far superior. Terrific 2-player action

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dungeon_Explorer still have to try it. This one got a followup on the Super Famicom called Crystal Beans, it's only in japanese but there's a fanmade translation patch for it.

    EDIT: also, changed the thread title to add the 'coop' bit

    Supposing you have already Emulationstation + Retroarch running, you first have to enter the Retroarch menu and download the mednafen_saturn core. Then you need to paste this:

    <system>
    <fullname>Sega Saturn</fullname>
    <name>saturn</name>
    <path>~.emulationstation\roms\saturn</path> this is the path to your roms directory
    <extension>.iso .ISO .mdf .MDF .cue .CUE</extension>
    <command>%HOME%.emulationstation\systems\retroarch\retroarch.exe -L %HOME%.emulationstation\systems\retroarch\cores\mednafen_saturn_libretro.dll "%ROM_RAW%"</command> this is where you tell ES what core to use
    <platform>saturn</platform>
    <theme>saturn</theme>
    </system>

    in your es_systems.cfg file; beware of slashes/backslashes and all depending of which OS you're running.

    Secondly, you'll need to put the proper BIOS file in the retroarch/system directory, see here:

    https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/Saturn

    And then of course you need to put all your roms in your roms directory.

    If you don't want to go the retroarch route, I guess you can use the standalone mednafen but I have no experience with it.

    Thank you for just the simple instructions man! I've been working on this for a couple hours today and a couple the day before not getting just a straight forward list of all inputs. A few of my buttons were missing from the file and some were all mixed up but its finally sorted! Thanks again

    @cjax08 from what I have found:
    iso is larger than bin
    bin is larger than chd

    and chd is smaller than pbp format for a psx game though not by much

    @jonnykesh said in "Golden age" console hit parade?:

    @meleu Is it still massively expensive to import foreign electronics to Brasil? I have read and watched documentaries about the taxes that were placed on foreign imports. I'm sure that has opened up but there will always be a legacy of that policy.

    I think it's not as much as it was in the 80s-90s. But it still has some taxes. Not sure how it worked before but now the taxes are applied by sampling. Then it can be a matter of luck. :-)

    I bought some gadgets from other countries and it wasn't that expensive (some of them weren't taxed), such as: 8bitdo NES30, SNES30, Zero, GPD XD...

    @riot1913 I think the drive expansion script only works on 1st boot, so as long as you connect the drive after the 1st RetroPie image boot, you shouldn't have a problem.
    Alternatively, immediately after flashing the image, insert the card in the OS where you're done the flashing and modify the cmdline.txt file from the boot partition and remove the last parameter so that instead of

    dwc_otg.lpm_enable=0 console=serial0,115200 console=tty1 root=PARTUUID=5728b712-02 rootfstype=ext4 elevator=deadline fsck.repair=yes rootwait quiet loglevel=3 consoleblank=0 plymouth.enable=0 quiet init=/usr/lib/raspi-config/init_resize.sh

    you should have

    dwc_otg.lpm_enable=0 console=serial0,115200 console=tty1 root=PARTUUID=5728b712-02 rootfstype=ext4 elevator=deadline fsck.repair=yes rootwait quiet loglevel=3 consoleblank=0 plymouth.enable=0 quiet

    @barbudreadmon Thanks for the info. Yeah, I know very little re: Higan, but had just burning questions regarding how cores are implemented. Just get excited every time I see a new RetroArch core go up.

    @bigbig2005 thanks. I certainly don't have that experience with RR4 on a Pi 3. Have you tried to disable vibration from the RetroArch menu> quick settings? There is a know issue with vibration and stutter on pcsx, at least on specific controllers. See if it's that, perchance.

    @capeman Question, do you run this with lr-Stella or the stand alone core? I can only run it from the stand alone core.
