I've hidden my BIOS files by scraping all of the files, then selecting "Parse gamelists only" from the start menu on emulationstation, then manually deleting the bios entries in the gamelist.xml files.

It's a little time up front, but it's clean. Just have to remember to unselect the "Parse gamelists only" option when adding new, unscraped roms, then scrape them, then select it again.

@bluecrown You should take a look at the Docs and do some research on the forums regarding the specific emulator you are using. I don't run any playstation emulation, but I noticed there are least three (3) different PS1 emulators alone!

If you are going to ask questions about performance, do your research first, try suggestions in the documentation, and for heaven's sake, if you end up asking about something specific, don't just mention the name of the game you are plyaing--you also gotta describe in detail what emulator you are using, and depending on its capabilities, what settings you are using etc.

That said, perhaps with more detail, someone will add their experienced answer here, although this thread was about YouTube, so. . .

@cgeyik I think learning to solder would be the easiest option. As the case comes, the power/reset are hard wired into the power in and all current flows through both buttons. I just cut the traces to the switches, which isolated them from the power circuit and allows them to be used for other purposes, and soldered power in directly to the pins that go to the pi. So eventually you’ll have to solder something to the power in. I did a whole rundown of my build in a couple threads.

What are you using to SSH in the Pi? You should be using Terminal, comes pre-installed on all macs. Open terminal and type: ssh pi@192.168.5.25 (but use whatever your Pi's IP address is) password is: raspberry

@dieselhammer The genesis folder is a symlink to the megadrive one, that's why you got the error - you shouldn't have deleted the folder since you might have problems running the ROMs you'll be copying there.

As far as the SSH problem is concerned - please answer the questions from https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first to have an idea how your system looks like.

Anything like this would work well with an IPAC 2. https://www.amazon.com/Coin-Acceptor-Programmable-coin-types/dp/B01EAI1KAQ/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1508800034&sr=8-5&keywords=coin+acceptor
For arcade games, just program the coin acceptor as the coin in the arcade machine, (instead of using select or some other key on a keyboard).
I made a homemade coin acceptor with a few wires and some metal sheet, I don't recommend it but it worked just wiring it up to a button.
here is a good video on how to set up a generic coin acceptor with retropie

Thanks for the continued help...you guys are really awesome!

I mamaged to create an Ssh and used winSCP to visually check the directories but I couldn't find default.cfg file at those locations? Managed to find all my recent Rom cfg files and removed those. Ran a search for the whole sd card for default.cfg and found it relating to lr-mame2003 but with a different pathway(file had unreadable symbols) Removed that and rebooted.
I feel really successful in what I have learned the last few days but my S,Q,W keys are still bound!? I'm using a conventional usb keyboard tonight at home so the issue doesn't seem to be related to my iPac.

My next plan is to change the key definitions in winipac for the iPac board. My player 1&2 pin numbers sw7 & 8's are not used so I will try swapping these keys designations over.
    S-L
    Q-K
    W-C
This will hopefully change the conflicting s q w keys to unassigned pins. L K C don't seem to have any adverse effects in mame. So this might be the solution. On the plus side I've learned heaps the last few days-never thought I'd be able to this stuff
