@akav05 I jus back round to trying to figure this out and thanks from the help on another thread I was able to get it to work. My game was Pinball Mania on MAME and through the MAME settings it’s possible to using any button for player 1 regardless of it being from the player 1 or player 2 controllers. I do not know if that’s possible with all systems but in case it worked perfect when playing the game on MAME

@mitu hey thanks so much. Just finally got the chance to get back on the arcade machine and using your method I was able to map the buttons to the left and right paddles respectively and now I can play the pinball game the way I wanted to. Cheers

When you change the Options in RA, the values apply to all games - it's always been like that. Use the 'Create Game Options' menu item after you change the options for the game, then switch the option back so it doesn't affect all games.

Not quite, since the names of the gamepads (P1/P2) are identical and the configuration file governing both is the same (it's created based on the device name). The approach suggested by @grant2258 is the correct one - there's just one configuration for both controllers, so making them work similarly is the best solution.

The installation error is caused by

/usr/bin/ld: impossibile trovare -lGL

Do you have any 3rd party repositories enabled ? It looks like the OpenGL libraries are not found, which is not something that should happen on a normal installation.

@Phantom-Rider we don't support 3rd party systems, and selling Retropie is against the project's licence. Ask the seller for support or use the official installation image.

The only good gba emulator for a pi zero is gpsp. Unfortunately, it does crash on that cutscene on that emulator. It works fine on mgba, but it runs slow on a pi zero.
Also make sure you have a bios file.

@machine_74 this is normal behavior. The only partion that a windows computer can access directly is the boot partition. The other Linux partion, windows doesn't understand what it is and assumes it needs to be formatted. Nothing is wrong with your card, just ignore/close out the format prompts.

first off, its worth noting that you need to install a driver for the ps3 controller to connect, so if you havent done that yet, i sugest you try that first, via the retropie setup.
also linux is not windows, so the fact that it works in windows, dosnt automaticly mean it also works in linux.

does the bluetooth adapter work as expected with other bluetooth devices in linux?

also, are you using an original controller?

only 0 and 1 are registering in your config log file. If your happy using advanced mame just use that. I find stand alone emulators more pleasing to use as well :).
