I am using group 2 and mode 82, I wonder if group 1 mode 16 would do a difference.

@TrisM Though it is an old thread and I haven't asked/wondered aloud back over nearly 2 years ago, was considering it to be just a SEP. But as you revoked revived the thread I am doing it now, because now I am really puzzled/curious and doubting again: I have Windows 10 Pro on 2 desktop + 1 laptop machines since the EOL of Window 7 and a third desktop setup in 2020. None of them had this behaviour and on all four (3 on 22H2, my laptop still on 21H2) this Group Policy is still defaulting to "Not configured" [edit: besides Mitus remark in the early posts that it is disabled as default on some mints of win10 and that's not including home/pro] . And as Win10 is using "Language Packs" (as it was on xp x64) instead of regional versions of the os itself, I somehow doubt that updates are meddling with those settings differently for different regions and I am still unsure why this was changed on some user systems and whether it truly was done by the M$ Update or by other means and if yes under what circumstances this would have happened.

Okay I reset my router and whatever that's done it's working again. So if anyone finds this error attempt to restart your router

@Retro-Arcade-Fan It will upgrade all packages that are visible to the OS packet manager(s)[1], if that includes emulators they will also be updated - but that is a question best be answered by people with more insight/knowledge of the retropie-setup script.

[At least on the Pi4 where I have RetroPie installed on top of the legacy Raspberry OS I haven't encountered anything like broken emulators after a full-upgrade, but i am only using a limited set of games/emulators on that machine]

@nollerd2 It doesn't have a name per-se, it uses the vlc provided libraries to render the video and audio.

I dont think there is a control disk feature that will let you eject and load disks which is sort of crucial for many of the games.

You can eject and change, use the "tab" key to go into the mame-gui.

Yes, exactly this. I do most of my browsing on mobile and these extra lines just really threw me off last night. I suppose I'll get used to it soon enough if it's to stick around...

Hm, the 90001 values is from an EV_MSC input, which is a button or joystick input, I don't think it needs to be mapped.
According to this issue, the "EG Starts Arcade" kit should be supported automatically. There's even a .cfg file posted there.

Maybe the launcher is trying to configure your keyboard instead of the controller ? Have you tried starting a MakeArcade game with only the controller kit connected ?

If that doesn't work, you may try open an issue on @Vegz78's repo, I unfortunately have no experience with the MakeArcade setup - I just know they've been working to make this work as seamless as possible in RetroPie and other gaming oriented projects (Recalbox and Batocera).
