@alrdtakn1 , yes, it also happens to me in vram settings.
i just installed 4.2 retropie last weekend and did not have this problem for the first couple days.
i think this might have started happening after i ran the update all option for updating everything.
    i hope it gets fixed.

does anyone know the config file for setting the ES system volume in sound settings since I can't seem to do it with a controller or keyboard?

It's in the libretro directory of the Nestopia core's source: https://github.com/rdanbrook/nestopia/tree/master/libretro

@RedBatman not much you can do unless you shrink the free space down on your installation. I'm sure there's a Linux command you can run to do that. But then each time you move the image back to your sd card you will have to rememeber to expand the file system again.

Ok, I tried turning off dithering, and it didn't seem to make any difference.

I'm still getting artifacts, like echo-type sounds, sounds that go on longer than they should etc.

I have listened carefully to games that I am very familiar with on other systems, and this definitely only seems to affect Hatari.

Thanks for your assistance. From the link you gave I used FAT32formatter, it appears to have worked. I got some error messages from the program, but it seems to be working ok.

@teejthehellian it's just the GitHub wiki which can be cloned as a repo in standard markdown.

There is also a download option for the wiki in the setup script

@legione6 said in Bluetooth Keyboard with FN key for F1, F2 etc:

    i'm a newbie on this forum .
    I've installed retropie 4.2 on raspberry Pi3 model B.
I'm trying to use a mini bluetooth keyboard to execute commands for file manager, retropie-setup and others features but i cant use ESC, FN button and then F keys. the other keys works correctly.

The keyboard is similar at Apple keyboard. This is a photo:

Can you help me to enable these keys?
    Must i install any package?

    Thank you

Presa Fn key (left, down of keyboard) + blue key

Geez, I just put it together. "Select" is the default hotkey button. I can set this up myself I think. Sorry for the silly questions.

Are you sure you wait enough time for shutdown before using the power switch ?
Could you post a link to your PSU model ?
Did you modify any config before shutdown ?
Do you have powersaving outlet that could cut power before complete shutdown ?
Does just a reboot work (without switching off power) ?

@phulshof said in Scrapes of full romsets available?:

finding corresponding game sets is rather easy. :)

In your (or my) case certainly ;) because I think you already have a "clean" romset, or a well known romset like NO-INTRO without renamed file ;)

but I can garanty it's not always so easy ;) I have associated manually about 4000 Roms to there own games (on 470000+ Screenscraper DB have) and sometime it's a real pain in the A. to match a file like "XmZ2.zip" to the good game ;) Even when you know on wich system it is ;)

That's why I spoke about a "universal" file... It's just impossible it works on 100% case (even 80% will be a miracle ;) )

I have an eye on what UXS Scrape in the world and what is found or not by the API on Screenscraper (API Error Result Page) and every day their is lot's of.... "silly thing ?"
Gameboy game scraped as MegaCD game,
    File like "_1.zip",
    100Ko Iso file,
    And so much different case...

An other thing, creating theses files mean creating a "new" local DB... because it will be very hard to have "complete" file.
You always found someone who have the "special Hack Edition Unrealeased merged Turbo ' Alpha 2 zero Russian translation".
That's why DB like Screenscraper, TheGameDb, and others were created ;)

The only way it "may" works is to create these files only for Known Full romset. Like NO-INTRO, retrobution, Tosec,... But it mean 1 file by System and 1 file by romset creator... A huge work to do ^^

In any way, feel free to take what you need on Screenscraper ;) it's CC ;)
(And if your work is in the same "mind" with better info/media, we will certainly ask if it's possible to reverse the process to fill the DB ;) )

    @SpudsMcToole Hm.

Any competing bluetooth devices? You seem to mention another dongle of sorts.

Have you tried the instructions here

    https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/PS3-Controller

    for "older versions of RetroPie"?

Also, in the guide, it clearly states "Note: Do not enable other bluetooth options as these will conflict with the PS3 specific bluetooth setup (sixad)", so I wonder if you have any competing bluetooth service turning on, regardless of dongles and stuff.

I'd try going through that guide, extensively, and seeing if anything works - and yes, disconnecting any other Bluetooth device (and potentially uninstalling any other bluetooth service you might have started or enabled unknowingly).

Thanks @mediamogul. I did a search but either used the wrong terms or my eyes skipped over it. I'll give it a read.
