Nevermind, figured it out all on my own. :) It was a literal issue. When I looked at the files directly, the ones I was having this issue with all had filesizes of 1k lol. I replaced them and everything's working again. Thanks anyway for looking!

Sorry for opening up and older thread. I've had an SN30Pro in storage ever since I bought it, and never actually set it up. I'm working on a new build now and felt the time was ready. Anyway, I also purchased an SF30Pro just these past few days so I could have 2, and distinguish the difference (colors) between them. Upon syncing the 2nd controller (newer) I discovered the firmware on my 1st controller needed updated. The new one vibrated once it connected, but the first one didn't. So I'm now updated with the firmware and fully synced.

The problem I'm having though is that it seems like the vibration isn't working in games that support it (mostly PSX games right now). Has anybody been able to get vibration to properly work with these controllers? Is the problem maybe because of the "input mode" I'm in? I believe I'm in Dinput mode (START+B) because that was the initial default. Should I be using Xinput (START+X) instead?

    Hey,

my Fan Control PCB has arrived and I successfully installed it in my MegaPi. I love how quiet (Silent? =) ) my pi is now!

I observed exactly the same issues as you, too - which makes perfect sense, given the fact we seem to have the same fans. Not a big issue for me though, I will be more than happy with just an on/off script!

Also the LED is very bright indeed, but it doesn't shine through the case - I can only see it when I open the SD card storage, which to me is a plus (can debug it visually).

Thank you for making me aware of this PCB! It took a very long time to arrive but I am very happy with it, as honestly the buzzing was kinda bothering me when playing GameBoy games or watching movies.

    EDIT:
I am therefore joining the question - does anybody know a fan which would play nice with PWM regulation? This one definitely doesn't like it.

@n64problems as a side note you will need to update mupen64plus from source if you want to take advantage of an update that fixed a graphics glitch with Yoshi's story

Please add more info about your system - https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first. Games will not appear in your system unless you copy them over to your system - as explained in the docs - , there's no games included in the RetroPie image.

@mediamogul Thanks, this was helpful in getting advmame cheats working for me but I'm noticing that every time I close and re-open a game I have to go back in and turn the cheat back on. Is there a way to make it permanent?

Is there maybe a setting in the retroarch.cfg that needs added or turned off?

    @mitu @kyuzumaki

Curiously, I have something similar on 18.04.1, which is also a recent thing. I just stumbled across this post but already made my own thread with my own findings this evening:
    https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/21139/error-and-gui-terminates-back-to-es-when-launching-retropie-setup-direct-on-machine-libudev-but-ssh-is-ok

Let me know if I can help grab any further information here to get this resolved.

    Thanks!

Yuv444 is a known problem for OMX player. There are at least two scripts to fix that for multiple videos, one by myself and one from @hiulit. May be worth a try if most scraped videos work, but some don't.

It should be fixed now, just need to update the RetroPie-Setup script to get the fixed version.

Think I figured it out. Disabled the splash through Emulation Station. Didn't realize it was in there, thought it was changed in the config script for RetroPie. Now everything works.

@martelfab said in Game Button Mapping:

@mitu im using name libretto . This menu is fairly difficult to understand. Not really sure how select the choices ? Any thoughts?

You just select a button and then tell it what you want that button to be assigned to. So you click on the button for start and then tell it which button will be used to press to start a game. There are a set of controls defined for the user interface and the menu you are in, will only work if those user interface controls are configured correctly. ie select and cancel need to be right so that you can select a control to define it.

    Hi all,
Looks like the creators of VICE did an update and resolved the issues. Performed an update from binary and all fixed :) The turbo setting under speed did manage to get turned on. Turned this off and now running great!!

So chances are I'll probably not be able to get the audio working without some converting. Bummer. I wonder if anybody can confirm if these games are ALL ape or maybe just a few of them. I don't want to share the location where I can get it but it's pretty well known. I just don't want to blow +100gb getting the collection if it's not going to work.
