@azsorlex26 Each package exposes a standard set of commands to be executed - sources, build, install, remove, configure. Most packages have these options, there might be packages with special functions.
Look at https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/blob/master/scriptmodules/packages.sh#L55 and https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/blob/bfaedb92cb86335b7fec34d23fb39890455ae05f/scriptmodules/packages.sh#L162 to see how the retropie_packages.sh script works.

Compiled the latest daily source, but TLJ would not be recognized bei residualvm.

Added in "/home/pi/RetroPie-Setup/scriptmodules/emulators/residualvm.sh" the build parameter "--enable-all-engines" , but that does not work.

I actually have the same issue. On my Samsung 46 inch TV connected by hdmi I get a delay of about 1-2 seconds on the ES menu when moving from game to game. I have game mode on the TV.

Come to think of it though, I have a Yamaha surround system that I have adjusted the audio delay(lip sync setting) because for some reason the audio was slightly off once I installed the receiver. I just disabled that option on the receiver for the Pi's HDMI output and it seems to be in sync now. Could this be your issue?

I think you're trying to use the mk_arcade_joystick_rpi one ? If so, then you need to install it first from the RetroPie-Setup script (it's in the drivers section of the packages) and then configure it - as described on the Github page of the driver. You can ignore all the installation steps and just look at the pinout and make sure you connected the wires correctly, then jump to the Loading the driver section.

There is no recalbox.conf file in RetroPie, that is part of the Recalbox image -a different project.

I believe pcsx-rearmed does only recognize SCPH1001.BIN. Seems like an addition is needed to the documentation.

Unfortunately not. You'll have to either enable and use SSH and re-enable autologin again or find a keyboard to log in directly. See this topic for the autologin problem - https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/18582/auto-login-not-working .

Just a note, obviously it won't help much at this stage, but certainly don't take it as an attack. I'm sure that was not the intention of @madmodder123 either, and I can imagine how frustrating it may be.

This last weekend not only was I backing things up to my laptop, but also to two separate external drives, and then even to Google Drive, just because if I do have to do it all over again - curating the games, artwork, media, settings, etc - I can imagine I'll lose motivation somewhat.

So, while I'm not going to repeat the suggestion for backing things up often, I can suggest for future setups to have your ROMs in an external USB thumb drive. At least for me it's been extremely helpful as if the SD card gets bricked because of an update, even though it's somewhat painful to have to reconfigure it all, it's nothing compared to having to recover your games, artwork, media, savegames, highscores, etc.

That might help you somewhat for the future.

Still, the warning is important. Wondering if it's kernel related or other packages - likely kernel but I'm not a Linux expert here.

Problem solved.
What I did wrong? Probably because I created the folders and put the files before the emulator installation.
After format and start from zero, with emulators first, no more problems.
