@Furluge I suppose they look like RA's controls when run on a mobile device - but they're overlays. I posted the link to them in the first screenshot post.

@mitu Perfect! that's how it works with my PC setup, just wasn't sure if having a key mapped to "esc" would work.

@lurker Thnx. I checked out the USB encoder product and seems like this is the correct product for easily adding autofire. Maybe it would be possible to do it with the controlblock as well but requires more skills than I have. I like the power switch feature and ability to connect two cotrollers to the controlblock but the dufficulty of adding cooling solutions with how it stacks on top of the pi is annoying.

@dankcushions ok. My wii madcatz fightstick is setup the way i mentioned so they at least kept with that layout on the wii. Honestly i think its retarded to have your R buttons on the left side of your L buttons. Makes no sense.

@kaptainsteve Welcome. Please see Controller Configuration in the docs and report any remaining problems. If I remember correctly (I'm not at home at the moment), the "B" button starts a game from the list in Emulation Station.

i don't think your layout is quit right. you don't need a set of p1 start / insert coin buttons AND start and select - by default p1's 'start' is 'p1 start', and p1's 'select' is 'p1 insert coin', etc.

if you still want to do it, you may have to configure the pX start and insert coin buttons after the initial setup manually, as i'm not sure you can bind two buttons to the same retropad button during the initial setup.

also your button layout is... weird to me. start and select under the action buttons? bit late to change that now, though :)

      i would also have like:

      Y X R1 L1 B A R2 L2

since you only have 6 action buttons, looks like you may have to use:

      Y X L1 B A R1

however that might not pair well with default controls in arcade emulators, so you may need to reconfigure them after.

@indvrkness Your post does not include all of the details from THIS POST which you are supposed to read and follow, and it doesn't look like you have read and followed the documentation that actually addresses using these controllers.

@TMNTturtlguy I don't have a cabinet yet but I've thought about this on and off. I think you have a good compromise there, and swapping A and C might be a good experiment.

This old thread may be helpful:

      Best of luck!

@jsawhite for lr-fba-next, there is a core option that sets the neogeo pad to either gamepad or arcade (not sure what that does.. maybe this?), and additionally there are various combo macros. i think this is where you should look... i'll have a look myself later as this sounds like a cool idea!

@darkav map both players coin buttons together there are games where the players have to add coins to their own slots. It kept people from stealing credits
