after moving all the.sh files and re writing the paths it all works now doom and all the other classic fps games are all now one system complete with logo

I run it directly via scripts:

Check out the Retropie Doom wiki, regarding mods. You could use the same commands above, but put it in /opt/retropie/configs/port/modname/emulators.cfg (that's what the "runcommand .sh " 0 Port" doom" stuff is pointing to...the "doom" directory in /opt/.../configs)

the little i played it was ok. the version you tried is still way better, but as you pointed i just will not play. so one will have to lower ones expectations of what it will look like.

as for bugs. i did not come across any.

Awww that sucks i found a super dope conversion/mod Its called Pro Doomer 3 latest version but for me Its unplayable most of the time.. sucks :(
I guess winter Fury wont play good either then
And as well aliens col marines..
aliens is a conversion from 1995 Its rly laggy the first map had rain it Just Chucks at like 5 fps

After I activate the Controller support the arrow up goes constantly

I see no menu options for Doom cheats or any way to access the console. It seems that the keyboard is disabled with the controller mapping. Google brings me here first, so old thread or not, someone should post a solution, no?

@edmaul69 continuing from last post. the reason freelook is set here instead of in the config is because i dont want freelook in every game. its annoying in games that dont use it.

Well i just got it to work weird
Im facing another issue my controller its to sensitive it moves my guy up automaticly as well
I tried turning off mouse look and its senstivity but to no avail i rly dont want to use a keyboard but it seems like only dpad will work if i use analog its Just to crazy and i cant seem to fix it ..
Might just go back to Zdoom since that is set up fine for me if i cant get my movements right it moves my guy while im not even touching it btw

I might just have a defect analog stick on my 360pad tho because if i move my guy forward i let go on the screen it will continue to move forward

Trying to use lr-tyrquake with no luck. I can get Dark Places working but I want the libretro core and controller support.

@retrofreak89 i play about 50 doom games with brutal doom's gun n blood mod. (Forget what its called since brutal doom has map too) No real issues for most games.

I'll look into that when I get a chance, plus making a launcher for the Spear of Destiny nocturnal missions.

It's really more intimidating than it is difficult. After you've written a couple of commands and learn a few troubleshooting measures, it becomes as routine as anything else.

I'm on 4.2.1 and I can confirm that ZDoom is ready and waiting under the 'Optional Packages'. As far as 'Brutal Doom' goes, I have it installed and it tends to run pretty well unless you have the enemies cranked all the way up to 'Nightmare' and do something like throw a grenade into an occupied room. Then it has to work out where all the blood an body parts are going to fall and the game will stop until it does. Playing it on 'Hurt Me Plenty' seems to run very well though. You should be able to install it without issue using the Documentation for ZDoom.
