@pbizzle said in Where are the ROMS?!:

@dankcushions should all the ROMs be .zip files?

not for all systems, no. you can find out the possible extension(s) for a given system by looking at the wiki page. eg https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/Super-Nintendo-Entertainment-System

Is there an easy way to increase the font size for the game list? I am running on a 3.5 inch screen and game names are too small to read.

      @chip

As long as you stick to systems that use a directional pad and two buttons or less, you shouldn't have any problems whatsoever. Fortunately you have a pretty big variety there with nes, sms, pcengine, gameboy/color, gamegear, ngpc and just about every atari option, as well as a pretty big selection of arcade titles.

Open /opt/retropie/configs/n64/emulator.cfg and replace 640x480 with 854x480 and 320x240 with 427x240. Also open mupen64plus.cfg in the same directory and set the right aspect (16/9 or stretch) under section GLideN64.

@CondeDemente Please post the output of sudo iwlist wlan0 scan (wrap in code block or use paste bin site).

Which build BTW ? Please provide filename of the image you downloaded.

Please do not post a support request without first reading and following the advice in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first

I'm not 100% sure about the hdmi_timings= because it would have to be what ever your CRT is actually using. I've been kind of looking around to see if I can find more information about that.

@sirkreuab you need to change ownership of your /opt/retropie/configs folder back to user pi. Go to the terminal (command line) and type

      sudo chown -R pi:pi /opt/retropie/configs

Remember linux is case sensitive, so the R is in caps but nothing else

One detail, just in case you don't know.
Linux doesn't tend (unlike windows ?) to degrade it's performances in correlation with the number of packages, files or installed software.
Aside from new daemons (or running apps) which may consume cpu/ram/iops, you can install basically whatever you want without harming performances.

      ?

@razz3r said in Would love some help, Thank You:

Just need the Emulators to Shows so I can load the games.

Things work bit differently here on Pie/Pi than, say, on a PC. You don't start an emu.exe and then load roms. First of all you need to put your roms into appropriate directories. Read this: https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Transferring-Roms/

Then reboot. Assuming you followed all the guides to the letter, you should now see names of the systems you transferred the roms for, with "X games available" underneath a name (that's on Emustation menu, where previously you only saw the Retropie thingy)
