As of this week, RetroArch supports multiple mice in all cores that have their own support for one or more mice. As long as the original emulator that the libretro core is based on has mouse support, the libretro version should as well.

If a core which should have mouse support doesn't work when thus configured, there is at least one libretro dev who is actively looking for cores to fix for mouse support, so new github issues are welcome.

In other words: what are you trying to do that isn't working?

@SuperCatFooz at that point you may as well use lakka with the xmb interface

I did briefly explore the idea of disabling the rendering of the system view. The problem is the slide transition. While transitioning, there is a small window of time where you need to render the gamelist and the system view. I didn't think about disabling the extras for the non-selected systems. That is another option to look at.

@Hex If that is so, then great that's exactly what I wanted to hear. Indeed, most of my videos work perfectly fine, only a mere fraction make a black screen. I guess this issue will be put on the back burner for now.

Finally about the video audio, I found it in the audio settings (I think it was there all along..!). But might be nitpicky, but I wish there was a way to enable video sounds in the ES menu, but remove it in the screensaver. Really though, at this point, the option that is already there satisfies my needs for the most part.

Maybe you can give it a chance. With the User Menu it is now possible to add more than one FAV-system

For all those thinking that every option will have help it is not so. The help message will only be shown in Option List / Multiselect Lists atleast at present. Also Help text is optional ie. it is shown only if defined for an option. This allows help to be shown only for complex/ambiguous options like Audio Device selection (both, the one with PCM and the one with Alsa). Many users dont know what these options do and adding a small help text solves this problem.

What I was mostly going for was when a user doesnt know what an option does, they might be inclined to checkout all options in < > Type of setting (OptionList). Clicking A on that opens a list of text components. Here we can have some help shown. So help is not obstructing during the normal usage but only shown in deeper menus

I already think to this with a friend and the best solution is the second.
Like it is used in Kodi.
Every one can add and use the media he want like he want without any new coding.
And it use less memory for guys who don't use many media.

But like you write it is harder to code :(
If i found some one who can code the second solution it will be the best.
If not i think i will try to code myself the 1rst easy solution for the moment.
Maybe you have the skill to do it, but for myself i haven't :(
