I don't understand what you're asking exactly. As I said... just set the control to 3DO Lightgun. That enables the 3DO Lightgun controller which is emulated via the mouse. It's not really any different from any other core.

This is the emulation driver for this game in old mame codebase, updating it means being a programmer.

EmulationStation checks if the file exists on disk before adding it to the list, but it still reads from the gamelist.xml.

You can output the game name and the path at the same time and then read the output in a script that would check if the path is still valid before printing the game. Here's a command that outputs a tab separated list of game path values.

@exitkioskmode you may have messed up things that may be too difficult to fix. That fix is from 2016, and may cause bigger issues on a newer os. Might be easier to start over with a fresh install.

@mitu Nono. It was the switch in options that did it finally. I had the bios changed already and nothing happened, but it is of course part of the answer.

I had to switch the Opera OS SWI-HLE option to ON in "Options" to make it really work! THAT was the real answer for me. The bios was only part of it.

Ok, I solved the issue by running setup on all the packages. This installed lr-puae2021 package as well.

Ok so change the names and now I can exit non libretro using only my Select button. So not entirely there but I guess it will work. Once again appreciate all of the help

No it's not, it's defined in the emulator, the emulator determine which game you are trying to play by its name, then will map the content into memory by matching it with its database.
In layman's terms, you can't rename an arcade romset.

In EmulationStation, press Start and choose "configure input."

Alternatively, begin EmulationStation with no controllers nor keyboard attached, then when it asks you to configure a controller, attach the one you want to configure.

FWIW, in short: it instructs the kernel to relax the USB protocol for devices that do not implement the USB HID spec by the letter, either because of poorly engineered/implemented firmware or the vendor did not foresee/test a specific setup (in this case connecting four devices of the same kind).

This issue that appears during boot is normal and harmless, nothing to worry.

I guess there's very few advmame users left, even few using a real CRT arcade monitor. I'm not sure at which version the RPI support for generating dynamic video modes (with advv), but you can try the latest version and see how it behaves.
