Following-up, I think the controllers are configured correctly. They are just using the default hotkey setting. It's just a little wonky-ness with the device when pressing the Select and Start buttons at the same time. It seems to take several tries, but then it does work.

As I said above "I had to unplug and repower it up, then Retropie won't reboot?"

So, I got retropie installed on stretch, and it works brilliantly !!!!

So my ace girlfriend comes up trumps for my birthday and got me a pair of Official PS3 controllers for my birthday !!!!

It works fine whilst on the usb cable, but I have tried to connect it via bluetooth, both with ps3drivers installed, and uninstalled, via the bluetooth search app, it finds it fine, but then asks to enter a 6 digit code, which I obviously cannot enter

I have done everything I found on Google search, but nothing helped

Can one of you great guys help me ????

I have found out why my SD-card is full. The /var/log folder is taking 21.7 GB of my SD-card...

@mrbeanhq you can put whatever you want on there. retropie will only pick up files it understands. eg, if you've followed https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/Running-ROMs-from-a-USB-drive it will only care about the retropie-mount folder.

Ok, I found a solution for my arcade controller: Uae4arm read the button "0" (read by emulationstation) as fire. So I fisically changed the wires in my encoder usb and I put the button that I wanted in the position recognized as "0".

@phoenixjedi That's correct, there is no x86 version for DraStic. Since it's not an open source project, there is only a binary available, provided by the author for the Raspberry PI ARM architecture.

@jonnykesh sup, so I deleted the images folder from my n64 folder and deleted my complete nes rom and images folder. I don't know what I did but the link-hack image that replaced some games is completely gone. Hope this might help in the trouble shooting.

Fixed my problem. Figured I'd post the resolution in the event that somebody else inevitably has the same issue. gunnarh's posted solution was right. It's not an issue of the multiple joysticks. It's actually the sketch. You need to use the bounce library, like was used in gunnarh's link. Without it, the buttons don't get recognized properly within retropie. I went as far as to edit the usb_desc.h for the teensyduino libary to only have it expose the joystick, and nothing more. That worked for only having a single joystick show up, but the button issue remained. It wasn't until I utilized the Bounce library, that my button presses behaved as I expected.
