It will not mount the drive from my router.
I've had so many problems with this home hub with file sharing. I had the home hub 5 before which was easy as that used samba shares when connecting usb drives but this one does not.
I forgot before that when I first setup this drive on this new router I had to map the drive first using run on my computer and entering \192.168.1.254\ then I could select the folder I want to map for share.
It's strange sometimes it shows in network sometimes it don't. I Google it upon getting this new hub and there was others with same problem.
So think and for less stress for me lol I'm going to just migrate everything to samba shares on my other pi,
Is this still possible to share roms through samba.

Never mind. Found out it's the recent update to RetroArch causing the issue. Re-installing the image without updating fixes the issue.

All I was looking for was a graphic image to use for my build.. I found someone who is making one for me though. Thanks guys

@farrisgoldstein I find when that happens it's because the image is too big. Make it a bit smaller and it's all fine.

Thank you everyone, now it's "working" but I'm not sure why. I've started again from scratch with a fresh installation, and it's working fine out of the box, as @ChuckyP said. At least is working with the padtest iso, when I push on R3 it starts running the weak motor, and with L3 the strong one. I suppose that I messed up something while trying to install/uninstall packages and stuff.

However it's not working with Final Fantasy VIII. Vibration is enabled ingame, I've tried with several bios and two different copies from the game, without success. Anyway, if it's working with the padtest then it works, and based on other comments I suppose that this feature doesn't work for all the games, but I need to test it more.

It can work only, if the phone or tablet have HDMI-in port, which as I know almost none support this. The Android phones/tablets supporting HDMI is mostly output only.

I was having heating issues after overclocking for N64/Shader usage. Tried the cheap heatsink route, and as suggested, did very little (as you say, probably the glue used). I've also tried larger cases with fans but the way it was set up meant it was just pushing warm air around, it was cooler but nowhere near the results I got with my passive-cooling case.

I looked into Flirc cases and then stumbled across the BIQU case, it's about half the price and works fantastically. I've never had the thermal symbol show since using it and the case itself doesn't get too hot either (you can feel it is warm when being used, but no shocks or being too hot to touch as some have suggested with passive-cooling style cases).

I also added a little thermal paste on the points of contact - it may not be necessary but I had some lying around so thought it wouldn't hurt.

@ricko This is not related to RetroPie. I'm guessing you are using Emulation Station on Windows with MakaronEX. Wrong forum, sorry.

Yet another workaround:

The standard command with which pcsx is run in Retropie does not always work without errors. Replace it, using the following steps.

Edit /opt/retropie/configs/psx/emulators.cfg so that the command to launch pcsx-rearmed reads:

pcsx-rearmed = "/opt/retropie/emulators/pcsx-rearmed/pcsx -cdfile %ROM%"

A new (hidden) config dir will be created: /home/pi/.pcsx/. And a dir where you must place the the PSX BIOS (i.e. the file SCPH1001.BIN): /home/pi/bios/.

Redo the settings for pcsx. They will be saved in /home/pi/.pcsx/pcsx.cfg. Do NOT copy the file 'pcsx.cfg' from /opt/retropie/configs/psx/pcsx/! You can, however, copy other settings like save files from there.

When certain emulators crash then the command line on my Pi (running Raspbian 9 Stretch) is unresponsive. The Pi does, however, respond via ssh. But no matter what process I kill, the console on my television stays non-responsive. Anybody got some tips & hints?

overclocking won't help here. mslug3 slows down on real hardware, so correct emulation replicates the same slowdown. there are ways of "solving" this: https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/lr-fbalpha#neo-geo-overclocking

any other game with native slowdown (eg many shootemups have this) will act the same way, but the CPU overclock link only works on neogeo games.
