    @dalagoth You can't. Simply put, the Pi 3 isn't capable of emulating either the Gamecube or the PS2, let alone at full speed.

    @monsterrob said in Wii U Pro Controller will not connect:

    @mitu I have the most up to date version of retropie with nothing added so do you think your second point applies, I have read it but I wouldn’t know where to start with removing a configuration.

    Please add the rest of the info requested in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.

    Removing a configuration is done from the Bluetooth menu, using the Remove Bluetooth Device entry.

    @mitu good day!
    I was testing some mame video snaps on retropie.
    Im well aware of the new default being VLC and that retropie is moving away from omxplayer.

    On my system, video snaps from same source, some play ok some other not. They produce the blackscreen as per this post.

    In VLC settings ffmpeg HW acceleration is disabled in codecs section. I cant find yet what is VLC missing and cant paly these files.

    This is on a pi4 2GB model with latest updates and retropie.

    For testing im providing this small 900KB argus.mp4 video snap
    https://mega.nz/folder/2HAxmYJR#nNsMz6pZDkn1T36ASe5ZCg

    I have on my system also installed the MPV. This one works great on all problematic video snaps.
    VLC requires re-encoding of the files to work ok

    Here is my testing from command line
    MPV

    mpv ~/RetroPie/roms/trackball/snaps/argusg.mp4 Playing: /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/trackball/snaps/argusg.mp4 (+) Video --vid=1 (*) (h264 256x240 29.970fps) (+) Audio --aid=1 (*) (aac 2ch 48000Hz) File tags: Artist: Progetto VideoSnaps by motoschifo & AntoPISA [gameplay by motoschifo] Comment: Created with: Mame version 0.161, Played by: motoschifo, Game name: argusg - Argus (Gottlieb, prototype), Date game played: 23 maggio 2015, Date video creation: 2 novembre 2015, Type: shortplay single-screen, Manufacturer: Gottlieb, Display resolution: 256x240px, Link for info: http://adb.arcadeitalia.net/?mame=argusg, Copyright (C) - All rights reserved - Tutti i marchi e loghi appartengono ai rispettivi proprietari Genre: MAME video preview (shortplay) Title: Argus (Gottlieb, prototype) [MAME] [vo/sdl] Using opengl [autoconvert] Converting yuv444p -> yuv420p AO: [pulse] 48000Hz stereo 2ch float VO: [sdl] 256x240 => 320x240 yuv420p AV: 00:00:37 / 00:00:37 (99%) A-V: 0.000 Exiting... And running the re-encoded (as per above) video snap, which now vlc can play OK!

    @stonededge said in Splashscreen no sound: i2s card not initialized before bootup:

    I did try to reset bluetooth from the above two command lines you gave me, but this didn't seem to help.

    In this case the re-ordering of services startup may not be of help. Maybe the I2S configuration has disabled something needed by the bluetooth service ?

    to make a script for this one as well..

    @retropieuser555 said in Hide Cursor functions using startx or XINIT?:

    @superfromnd So I tried this but the rom doesn't load, it boots to the emulator itself and I have to select the rom from the emulator GUI. It loaded the rom before without -- - nocursor. I also tried putting the %ROM% at the end but that didn't work either.

    Any ideas?

    Maybe not the answer you where after, but try installing unclutter and setting a timeout of 1s.

    I'm no expert, but I think RetroArch can only have one mouse index per player. So I don't think you can assign two of these devices at the same time through the menu. If it were possible to somehow make the operating system see two input devices on the same device index that would be one way. I have no idea how to do it though.

    I think as painful as it may be, the only thing to do is assign whichever device the most games use as the default and then create game specific overrides for those that use the other device type.

    @rasp_renegade hello. As with ColecoVision and Intellivision...all emulators....Google is your friend for any BIOS/ROM files. And also keep in mind, there are variations to some that you have to keep trying versions until you get the right one.

    I read this as they are looking to run the desktop over an SSH tunnel from a (headless) remote linux fileserver, hence my concern about latency. If this is the case, they would need to start the X environment manually, or maybe you could setup some checks to examine ${SSH_ENV} within .profile to try an autostart.

    @t-men

    Another check is to ensure the user running ES, is in the correct group to access js events. Usually input

    Do you have the 7″ touch display ? You probably had to configure the Pi to use the DSI output my modifying the bootloader configuration (the config.txt file on the boot) partition. To switch back to HDMI, you'll need to remove or comment the lines that enable and configure the LCD.
    There might be a way to enable the LCD display only of HDMI is not detected through the use of conditional filters in config.txt, but you'll have to experiment and see if that's possible. If the LCD pannel cannot be detected at boot by the bootloader, then conditionally enabling/disabling it might not work.
