@ruicunha I am assuming you are referring to MAME? And rebuilding using Clrmamepro? If so, then you dont have to rebuild a whole romset you can rebuild a smaller subset if you wish.

Well, not far from the truth. As @Sano said, the script is not part of the retropie and has no affiliation whatsoever with the project. You should contact the author of the script on Github.

@mediamogul Oh great thanks for updating that. Maybe it would be worth noting though. I'm not sure of the other versions of RetroPie but the one I'm running, 4.3.8 I needed to turn on the Online Updated Like mentioned above.

I fixed this by putting the SN30 Pro in Android mode. It is now working perfect.

If the xboxdrv had anything to do with it, that would mean you couldn't use a SN30 Pro and a XBox controller at the same time.

Managed to fix the issue. I reinstalled Ubuntu and followed the same steps as before, except I didn't do the update and upgrade step before downloading the installer script.

@mitu I've plugged it into my Linux and I've figured out that my controller wasn't responding to it. I'm using a spare one that works a lot better. Thanks for the support.

Similar problems. Two identical DragonRise USB Joystick, with same identical connection to usb encoder. In EmulationStation Player2 buttons respond correctly, also if just one config is written (identical joystick). When i start lr-mame2010 with - for example - street fighter i see that player1 controls are OK, player2 controls are ok BUT only 4 buttons of 8 is working. Tryig to make /boot/cmdline.txt mods. Trying also to reconfigure manually in retroarch. What can be? becoming crazy from a week !!! Thanks

UPDATE: everything is working perfect now. the trick was updating the binaries. :) Geez I should have started with that a week ago haha.

AFAIK RPi 3B+ has new BT chipset with flow control where RPi 3B doesn't.
This feature limits the BT errors that generate random events.
cf https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux/issues/2264

So it's possible that the problem is not with your DS3.
You could try to connect your white DS3 to the RPI 3B (not +) to verify this.
