Are you rebooting/shutting down your system from the EmulationStation menu ? If EmulationStation is not cleanly shut down, the favorite information is not properly saved.

All settings are okay for free access. I tried installing the desktop Raspian but it does not allow for hidden networks so I have no way to check if it is just Retropie.

If you want to take a screenshot of just your current active window, type Alt-PrtSc instead of just the PrtSc key.

Just to confirm I had email confirmation that the change was merged into master, so post-update I tested again anyway and all works fine.

With the other emulators like "mupen64plus-gles2rice", "mupen64plus-GLideN64-highres" and "mupen64plus-GLideN64" i get a bigger screen but only 4:3 ratiation and it's not play able.

No, hardware acceleration is used by default.

And does OMX have any advantages left over VLC?

Yes, it's still faster than VLC with HW acceleration in EmulationStation.

@nes as with the roms you will need the right CHD-Version for this rom-set.
btw - Killer Instinct will not run good even with a overclocked Pi4, so you might be dissapointed.

Another note to add

Player 2 controls seem messed up unless it's just me.

E. G. Mortal kombat 2 and 3

Player 2 controller has same config as port 1 controls minus the keyboard keys but low kick button doesn't work on player 2 joystick
(It does nothing.)

Using mame 2003 and 2003 plus with same controls all buttons work.
