How do I use the internal command prompts? Like how do I log in so I can enter in all the code? I know that if you press f4 that it brings up the prompts, but how do I log in and shit?

I tried device_joystick raw first and had no luck with either controller, but sdl worked so i stuck with that. I will take another look at it. Thanks for the reply!

@neonix yes i believe it is a permission problem you had. If you put those in the playstation controllers config file instead of the psx config it wont interfere with other controllers. I put those settings in all my controllers configs that could possibly be used to play psx and famicom disk system games. (Of course changing the numbers to match that controller)

CRT-shaders only hide the issues, not actually fix them. And if I use any of those screen smoothening to smooth the whole screen, the gameplay doesn't feel good due the blurryness it brings in. Personally, I aim for better gameplay experience, improve the game visuals, rather than play them as they were designed back them. Most of the PS1 games can look really good with modern tricks to improve them, and they're getting there with that PCSX-Reloaded, which has that GTE-accuracy fix and polygon stabilizer to fix the main issue with PS1 games. But we'll see, that when that is going to be ported over to Raspberry-environment. But that alone doesn't fix the blurry 2D-stuff, that would definitely need some new tools and shaders.

I am new to retropie and have a pi 3, i only changed cmdline and didnt install the kernel
There is 2 gamepads recognized except when i try and register my controls in retroarch it does not recognise player 2.
any help please...

Problem Solved:
It turns out it was a wiring problem: the A and B Buttons were crossed on the 2nd controller. It seems the system has no way of differentiating between the two otherwise identical controllers. So the config for controller 2 probably overwrote the config for controller 1 and vice versa each time a new controller config was put in.

@tonythetiger giving people more info to be able to help you really helps. There is a link at the top of every page that tells you what info you need to provide. You agreed to this when signing up. You provided no info on your setup so no one would even know how to help you. You can bump a thread but please dont open multiple posts on the same issue. If you had mentioned that you had a ps3 controller people might have been able to tell you to uninstall the ps3 driver, setup both wii u controllers so they are working correctly, then reinstall the ps3 driver. You cant be mad at people for not helping you if you dont provide info.

@tonythetiger not everyone knows the answer to everything and a lot of times people dont provide enough info for anyone to help. All help here is done in peoples free time and with how many posts get posted in a day some posts can get lost at the bottom of the pile. It would be cool if you posted your solution to be able to help others who have this same problem.

@herb_fargus The file is TI-994A.ctg. I do not know how to check the md5sum for the bios. I tried to follow the tutorial available at Atari Age long before I posted here, but I was unable to navigate some of the steps. Thanks for your help.

You certainly got the OS-ROM to emulate the CD32 so fortunately that's not an issue at least. But If I remember correctly, that in order to get Amiga CD32 isos working in Amiberry, a .cue file accompanying the iso is needed in most cases.

Or it could be that the iso file in question is corrupted or simply not compatible as Amiberry eschews accuracy in favour of ease of use.

@bosco so you have any sonic config files in your genesis/ megadrive roms folder? If so delete them

@geometrafilini open msx is not a retroarch emulator. If you want it to work as easy as other retroarch emulators, download lr-bluemsx. To use the keyboard you might have to add

input_player2_libretro_device = 2

to the msx retroarch.cfg
