Very special case. But you can save the import part. However, some manual steps are required:

Copy the pq1-amiga.svm to the ~/RetroPie/roms/amiga/ folder.

Find the Amiga video (I guess you already did that).

    e.g, https://www.screenscraper.fr/gameinfos.php?gameid=34415&action=onglet&zone=gameinfosmedias

Navigate to the ROM/ISOs latch and pick a checksum and use it in the query parameter.

    Run Skyscraper -p amiga -d /tmp --flags videos -s screenscraper --query="md5=2c4827513db0e45eed77d20d290fa17d" ~/RetroPie/roms/amiga/pq1-amiga.svm.

Find the video for "Police Quest" from screenscraper in the scummvm Skyscraper DB file, usually ~/.skyscraper/cache/scummvm/db.xml (type="video" source="screenscraper" with the matching resource id for Policy Quest). Note the resource id.

Copy the amiga video into the scummvm cache, e.g.:

    cp /tmp/videos/screenscraper/494148112002ee474500cc10cbd212b1dedc5bd0.mp4 ~/.skyscraper/cache/scummvm/videos/<just-noted-resource-id>.mp4

It could be that the resource id is identical between Amiga and ScummVM, as the Skyscraper resource id is calculated from the filename and not from the file content for *.svm files. I did not verify this, but I assume it will be the case.

@JimmyFromTheBay said in Catastrophic lr-VICE failure:

    Ah, found it:

    sudo chown pi:pi /opt/retropie/libretrocores/lr-vice

Did that for the main and subfolder and managed to replace the crappy broken new files with the working old ones. All fixed. Thanks for the reply :)

I see how you have done it otherwise you would not be able to replace the files.
If you don't mind you can leave it that way.
However, notice that these folders normally have root user rights.
In principle you should turn them back to root.

@rhester72 said in joy2key_sdl.py doesn't support my controller:

To make RA happy, I had to hand-configure the controller in Retroarch (GUI) itself and save from there, which produced the "not-normalized" device name in the configuration file.
    [..]

OK, so the other possibility of a device name mismatch is the configuration being created outside of EmulationStation's scripts - in this case via RetroArch itself. In any case, this kind of setups will hopefully be better supported by joy2key in the future.

@Ashpool thanks for the reply! ... you've helped me rule out some things and gave me more to think about and research. I'm determined to get RetroArch working seamlessly with both a keyboard and my arcade controls (none of which resembles a gamepad go figure!)

@mitu thanks once more for your response.
The only stand-alone emulator that i am using is Amiberry, all the others are lr-ports.
In some way i am forced to use only lr-ports, because i am addicted to retro-achievements :)

In my first year of RetroPie i used two PS3-SixAxxis Pads, because i allready had them. They have nor umble at all, so the topic was not relevant for me.

    Since 2013 i am using 8BitDo SN30Pro-Pads constantly.
I started 100s of PSX- and -DC Games over the years, but these pads never rumbled at all.
Since yesterday, "Tokyo Extreme Racer 1" for the DC brings the pad on fire :D
But it is the only game doing this.

My guess: these Pads are able to rumble (everyone knows that) but seems highly incompatible to RA-FF-Functions.
With a Ratio of 1:500 it works ;D
I could imagine that as soon as i buy a more popular pad (XBOX, Switch, ...) it will rumble all the time.

@old_arcade_dude thanks for the update. As it also can happen with this Redmond software it further thickens the plot that the tankstick firmware does not implement the USB spec by the letter.

May be related to the new splashscreen version, that uses vlc instead of omxplayer. Can you add the rest of the info asked in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first, particularly the exact RetroPie version you have installed ?

Do you have SSH enabled so you can run commands on the Pi connected via wireless ? What is the resolution of the screen and how is it conected to the Pi (HDMI/GPIO) ?

@perkinsarmand33 Please don't hijack other user's topics with your questions - open a separate topic instead. Also, if your questions are not RetroPie related, then maybe this is not the right forum to ask.

@Nash said in GameCube/Wii Error: Mario Part 5:

@gvx64 If you search anothers games to debug, can I suggest Rogue Squadron 3 - Rebel Strike and Splinter Cell Chaos Theory on Gamecube.

Rebel Strike runs on original Dolphin but pink loading screens and performances issues in training mission, or mission not start.
On Dolphin-rpi, green loading screens, dancing intro is very slow and game crash sometimes when skipped. Menu is also very slow and crash everytime.

Chaos Theory runs fine with your Dolphin-rpi, but have a dark filter in menu and game (very slow in original Dolphin, but no dark screen).

I also have right trigger problem in "Splinter Cell 1" (not Chaos Theory) in training level. I can draw pistol but I can't shoot (Maybe it's me who don't understand something).

Map in Metroid Prime 2 - Echoes is fixed, but now game is slow with sound stuttering.

And F-Zero GX have performance issues in both emulators Dolphin and Dolphin-rpi.

    I am on overclocked Pi5 8go, Bookworm Lite 64, Retropie 4.8.9.

Thanks for letting me know. The only suggestion I can give you right now is for Metroid Prime 2 Echoes - Have you tried adjusting the CPU override value to a level below 100%? You can do this by editing the following:

    /home/pi/DolphinConfig5.0/GameSettings/G2M.ini

[Core] #Values set here will override the main Dolphin settings. Overclock = 0.6 OverclockEnable = True AudioStretch = True AudioStretchMaxLatency = 50 GFXBackend = Vulkan

Also, you can play with audio stretch as I did above to see if that can smooth out the choppy audio.

I actually had a lot of success getting Metroid Prime 1 to run well on the Pi4B by turning down the CPU Overclock functionality. I am hoping that this can work for you as well.

@mikejkelley thanks for that! ... some good clues in it. I'm interested, is the Countercade running MAME? If so, do you have Punch-Out? ... curious if it would magically work with your dual display setup. Since it sounds like your mirrored, I'm guessing not.
