@akafox editing es_systems.cfg is not the recommended method as you have to manually keep parity with any updates you make through the setup script.

I went ahead and reinstalled the modified version over top again, and it's working right now. I wonder what causes it to lose it's functionality by simply updating some scripts...

it's ok, actualy the fact it's a single c file makes it easier to read
and is a good start for me if I want to tweak or so

I just found ridiculous to use bluetooth while the controller and the pi are in the same box
like most people do (and writing python cos they are too lazy)

@mediamogul Thank you. I'm just wondering if using xboxdrv and taking this approach might fix the struggles I'm having getting jfroco's atari800 changes that support the 5200 controller to work.

I understand and can see how this can get out of hand in regards to correct people to discuss support with once folks start mixing together bits and pieces from several areas. Hopefully this post will be a notice for others to not bombard you guys. I appreciate the incredible work you've all done and great community support!

The 2nd one is closer to the correct format but not sure about the button mapping.

Just run evtest to get the correct mapping.

I solved this myself by just installing LXDE on RetroPie. Might be good to know for other projects though.

Haha, I found the option last night right after I decided to go ahead and run the manual apt-get commands. Looks like everything's in working order and I've got LMMS running in Pixel. Thanks bro! ^_^

@pawpie you need to describe what you did step by step in terms of connecting to your network. Wireless or ethernet? for example.
