@Ekstreme Can't really tell the exact "which one" without some digging, but they are the "around $2 a piece from china"-ones and arrived overly sensitive and erratic (check my fix video for it if you want to see the difference).
As I remember the NES controllers, I can't recall them being "spongy" like these are. This has not been a issue for me though. Don't know how they would fare in Track&Field type things yet.

@suprjami Yeah that was the idea. Something small that you could just do on a lunch break or if you were bored at a friends house. The controller as small as it is, isn't really that bad on your hands surprisingly. I played for about an hour and it didn't seem to be a big deal. But yeah thanks for the compliment =].

I don't know these specific games; to create overlays for these, on top of finding time, I'd need:

actual game screen area in pixels (open RGUI and check under video settings) on a 1080p display. links to some good resolution images related to the game (e.g. box art, cover, fan art, etc)

It's also installable via the theme installer through the setup script.

Controller pictures are also .svg just as the logos are, so I don't think that is the issue unless the there is memory limit reserved for the theme and the svg is hitting it.

I have exagear desktop on my RPi3b and honestly it's not worth the money currently.

The biggest issue I have with it is the fact that games need to be run in a small window to even make most playable and even then results aren't great. I used it to play Deus Ex, and while i wouldnt consider it unplayable, its certain not great.

There may be better success with other games as I didnt test much aside from Deus Ex (Tried Stardew Valley but didnt have enough RAM on the Pi3)

I believe Floob did a video on Exagear, and tried out some games if you want to see an example.

@Brigane Yeah I found a usb encoder was easier than soldering up gpio pins and programming the pi to recognize the button presses. The encoder automatically worked with emulation station.

@monstermadeofman I don't know of a phone battery that small sorry. I guess you'd need to find dimensions of batteries and measure up the compartment. You might have to modify the battery compartment to fit something good in. I guess you'd want at least 2000mAh.

@leejsmith I just noticed your Album link at the bottom of your pictures! I see the USBs in the back now and that screen is just HDMI! Don't know why I never thought about that because I've heard others have issues with refresh rates using the onboard display interface (DSI) port. Thanks for sharing your mini bartop. I enjoy seeing these well constructed builds! Keep up the good work :)
