    In general, I have no idea what it was, but ... I once again updated the retropie setup script, and once again uninstalled and installed amiberry from the sources. And (magic) everything finally worked as it should ... amazing (sarcasm)

    @idemiq hello. Apologize for reopening that thread but I like when solutions are found whenever possible! CD32 is a bit tricky to get working but the good news is that it works!

    Can you try renaming your .CUE that way and give it another try? Do not modify the .bin file or any other file(s) referenced inside that .cue.

    AlienBreedTowerAssault_v1.2_CD32.CUE

    Your Kickstart roms appear to be correct. Yet I do see that you put these inside BIOS/amiga folder. I'd recommend to just go with BIOS instead. Therefore move any KS file up to the BIOS folder of Retropie and delete the BIOS/amiga folder for now. To be sure.

    Also after you renamed the .CUE and moved the KS roms as mentioned above, please ensure to delete any .uae you have generated (back them up somewhere else if you want).

    If the above works then you'll have to rename the .cue the same way the games are being referenced in the whdload_db.xml file (search for CD32). Which you could find under <Retropie>configs/amiga/amiberry/whdboot/game-data.

    Hope this helps.

    @BuZz thank you.

    BuZz can you also take a look at the "general" thread of Amiberry?
    I'm finding that games runs a little faster then normal, I made a video about that. If you want I can make more of them. Thanks.

    Can you add more info about your system, as detailed in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first ?
    Amiberry should read and understand RetroArch's auto-configuration files, so Hotkey + Start should exit. You need to use a - relatively - recent of version of Amiberry for that. See more details on the Amiberry Input documentation page.

    I just noticed the lha I am using is only 58k and could no way contain a game. It wasn't a problem with the Kickstarts, it was the lha. I switched to a good lha and the game is loading!

    Could someone explain to me why amiberry is seen as more plug and play compared to puae, and is the recommended emulator here? Everything I've thrown at puae (lha and hdf) seems to work, I get access to the lovely CRT shaders, and I'm probably going to have to mess about with config on a per game basis for either anyway? Amiberry seems way more of a pain in the arse on several levels, to me - and that's not even considering the strange resolution switching issue I'm getting.
    I'm considering just binning it off and going with puae; am I going to regret that for some reason I've yet to experience?

    @nemo93 Some games I have to click on it in the Retropie menu to load, then adjust the configuration in the menu such as change the Kickstart Rom or Chipset, then click Reset to get it to load. I've tried the Save Configuration option and it adds and entry to the list that appears under Configuration but this doesn't seem to save things like the Chipset or Mhz etc. Is there something I manually need to edit for this? E.g. I got Super Skidmarks CD32 bin/cue files working but for some reason I have to change the Kickstart Rom to CD32 every time to load it up. Is there a quick way to save this kind of setting?

    @sirhenrythe5th Hi
    I should know this about the Amiga as I did have one. I wished I kept it now. I am just so used to playing games with a button for jump I forgot about the Amiga using one fire button (I used the competition pro or the 500XJ EPYX Joystick).
    Thanks for the help I will check out this post.

    In regards to the custom commands to disable the up control I have worked it out.

    If anyone is interested when you start an amiga game through amiberry it creates an auto-startup file.
    In this file you can place a custom option after the PRELOAD command
    eg PRELOAD CUSTOM1=1
    You would need to visit whdload.de to see the info of the game and what custom options it has.
    Comes in handy if you want to add unlimited lives etc to some games.

    Got my 80 games all setup now with box art and preview videos. The games I have tested all work, well load and I can play the first 20 seconds.

    If any are not or have screen sizing issues I'll post on the github.

    Great work guys!!!!

    Off to build my C64 on Retropie now, wish the emulator was as good as this one and the support.

    @George-Spiggott said in Blood Money AmiBerry Control issues:

    I have a PS3 pad in port 1 set to Joystick. I have no custom inputs defined. You can save settings in the configurations tab in Amiberry. You may need to save settings for for several of your games.

    Hope this helps.

    Hey George, thanks for that tip. Now got Blood Money working with my Dragonrise controller. So massive thumbs up for your help.

    Hi

    Anyone have any clues about these issues?

    I've had to resort to lr-puae for some games due to these issues, but that has its own problems too (can't seem to use trackball as a mouse).

    Any help on the above appreciated.

    Thanks

    @mirkog ok, i see!
    Indeed i changed the controls under "custom controls" and set "Port0" and "Port1" to my joypads and finally saved that config.
    I had an Amiga2000 back in 1989 (to 1991) and therefore was used to this procedure.
    You had to pull out the mouse and insert a joystick on the real machine too 😉

I would like to try the 2020 or 23/24 version of the game from( .lha file from retrogames).but no luck in starting it, only amibery logo on startup and black screen after that. Could you plesse share some knowledge for correct setup? -thanks!

    Raising an old topic from the dead - can anyone tell me in which file the setting for floppy drive sound emulation is located please? I can't seem to make the option stay ticked when using the Amiberry UI in Retropie.

    Thank you!

    A little progress - there is very little, if any, documentation on using fs-uae in RetroPie.
    I tried running a few games and kept getting a message that it wanted kick1.3.rom, so I renamed the kickstart 13. rom kick1.3.rom and then I would get a kickstart 1.3 splash screen but no more progress. I tried a few more games and finally Lemmings seemed to load, however this gets stuck at the Load Disc 2 screen?

    So this is probably a configuration / path problem however I don't know how to resolve it?
