    @ExarKunIv I know this was some time ago, but I am trying to make my joystick act like a mouse in DOSbox. Do you remember where that file you made is stored?

    Ah! Just hit button A on the DosBox choice in Emulation Station. Silly question, sorry, I didn't see it. Solved.

    @edmaul69 Just wanted to run some batch files.

    Brilliant,
    Thanks for letting me know so quickly. I will install and configure these emulators outside of Retropie using sudo apt-get install.
    I will keep tracking this in case they may be ported to the XU4 in the future.

    Thanks all!

    .exe and .bat files will appear in the "pc" section of EmulationStation, so you can surely put the needed commands into a batch file, yes.

    @gordonfreemanjr Batman Returns (1992).conf worked for me on skyscraper with screenscraper set as the source. On the second link you posted you can see there is a "filename" tab, if you click on it you can see other filename aliases.

    Well thanks for trying anyhow! I have it working on dosbox on my laptop, no issue what so ever. Must be some config in my Pi's dosbox that won't allow it to work. Will need to continue research, thanks!

    @sammyboy you shouldnt use runcommand for dosbox. Dosbox has its own video settings in the dosbox config file. Also follow the retropie dosbox wiki to learn how to create seperate .sh files for each game.

    @sonicsheppard also, if you want the sensitivity in the analogs to work better get something with a longer analog joystick. You can get a flightstick or use something like the mad catz xbox 360 gamestick:

    @snowpile
    Sorry for the late replay. Create a file in your /roms/pc/ folder called Tie Fighter.conf copy and paste the contents below into that file and use it to launch your game. If you have any issues let me know.

    # This is the configuration file for DOSBox SVN. (Please use the latest version of DOSBox) # Lines starting with a # are comment lines and are ignored by DOSBox. # They are used to (briefly) document the effect of each option. [sdl] # fullscreen: Start dosbox directly in fullscreen. (Press ALT-Enter to go back) # fulldouble: Use double buffering in fullscreen. It can reduce screen flickering, but it can also result in a slow DOSBox. # fullresolution: What resolution to use for fullscreen: original, desktop or a fixed size (e.g. 1024x768). # Using your monitor's native resolution with aspect=true might give the best results. # If you end up with small window on a large screen, try an output different from surface.On Windows 10 with display scaling (Scale and layout) set to a value above 100%, it is recommended # to use a lower full/windowresolution, in order to avoid window size problems. # windowresolution: Scale the window to this size IF the output device supports hardware scaling. # (output=surface does not!) # output: What video system to use for output. # Possible values: surface, overlay. # autolock: Mouse will automatically lock, if you click on the screen. @retropieuser555 said in [Tutorial] Installing Munt (MT-32 emulation) on RPi 3:

    c++: error: unrecognized command-line option ‘-mfpu=neon-fp-armv8’
    c++: error: unrecognized command-line option ‘-mfloat-abi=hard’

    Are you on a 64bit system ? The flags above are not supported on aarch64 - remove them from the C/CXX-FLAGS.

    @zerojay hiya, sorry to bring up such an old post, i am desperate for some help getting the .sh files in pc ports menu to play now the script has run its course fully (yes the metadata shows and everything is bang on the right place, yet running the games from menu kicks back to menu screen. You mention here about a part of the script capitalising the +dosbox.sh script which stops anything running - i think this is my problem, could you explain a fix for this pretty please with sugar on top? thanks bud.

    @gordonfreemanjr said in Amiga and DosBox emulators not showing:

    YES, create the 'amiga' folder if nonexistent;
    NO, do not create amiga lines in the .cfg file, leave it be;

    These are unnecessary as they are handled automagically when the emulator is installed from the setup script

    And installing from source is generally not recommended if binaries are available

    @buzz iv had this issue just by not having the time set so the year would be 1969. Setting the correct time fixed it for me. I have a rtc now which solves the issue for me. I think i set it to set the internet time while booting as well, so if my rtc failed it would set the internet time.

    @cesarabandeira I'm not sure how you got the dependency issue, but it must be due to some packages installed. Can't reproduce it on my rpi. Might just be easiest to back up settings and use a fresh image - or maybe aptitude could help (probably need to install it).
