@Butters_52 I had the same problem but it was because of my USB hub.

Try and unplug everything except power and HDMI and see if it runs then.

If so possible PSU issue as buzz said

@MadRikXIV if you remove the mic chip and capacitor on the original board you could rewire that volume slider on the board to be used

Glad you where able to figure this one out. I double checked my system and I already had libvlc5 installed. For others reading this, this is what you type in to install it:
      sudo apt-get install libvlc5

In my personal experience, ive had several cdi's work where gdi's dont and vice versa, also ive noticed that changing the emulator selection makes powerstone run. on the pi its hit and miss. if you have .bin files there should be a cue... but i thought reicast was strictly cdi or gdi.

Hi, yes they are, I've checked everything amd after asking in various other places it may be that the issue is retrosmc as I'm using that instead of retropie

@KokoPebbles Please use descriptive titles for topics - Please do not post a support request without first reading and following the advice in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first

(Understand you are visually impaired, but I assume you are able to read the website/forum via large fonts/high constrast/text to speech etc).

What problem are you having with the calibration? I'm not sure anyone can do a better step to step instruction than our existing official documentation. I have no idea what guides you have read but this is the official one -

      https://retropie.org.uk/docs/First-Installation/

Please follow that and go into more detail what you can't do etc.

@marc.knuckle try getting multiple roms to test. Also put the bios zip in with the roms in the roms folder. (Just in case its looking for it there) Because the mame/fba roms get updated some of the roms might not be compatible if you dont have the correct version of rom with the version of fba/mame that is on the pi. So testing only one rom does you no good.

@theoneandonly Here is what I did:

      Download RetroPie image (from zip)

      Extract file

      Format SD card

Use Win32IDskImager to write image to SD card

      Boot into RetroPie

      Configure PS3 controller

      Copy roms using WinSCP

      Reboot Emulationstation

      Play

Not sure, but it sure confused me. The User Name is actually the person's Western Digital username... not their username to access the drive. The Email address is their username for that.
