      Okay, I found a solution to my problem:

      https://github.com/jfroco/atari800-rpi

      It's an alternative binary for the atari800 emulator that maps RetroArch buttons to the START, SELECT and RESET keys. It adds some new options to the atari800.cfg file.

      No need to do keymaps.

      @kenibure said in I cannot use this system correctly.:
      Problem number 1:
      When I try to reboot the Raspberry, the graphic interface disappear, and then appears a command console. I would have to make "sudo reboot" or "sudo poweroff", but then, the system doesn´t detect my keyboard.

      I can confirm this is a common problem - especially when the program encounters a fault and exits to terminal. To properly shut down the computer I have to SSH into it and "reboot" since you can't use the keyboard hooked up to the Pi anymore at that point.

      ...can't help you with how to fix it I'm sorry to day.

      Lol, ffs. Yep, that has fixed it.

      Thank you very much, @mitu :D

      If I'd known from the start that this thing pretended it was an Apple keyboard this would have taken a lot less time.

      I guess the Fn key on the i8 works differently than on a real Apple wireless kbd, hence why holding the Fn key and pressing the F1-F10 doesn't generate the correct keycodes, but reversing the Fn switch with the driver parameter does.

      I can now F4 out of ES and F12 to bring up Amiberry config, etc. Yay.

      (I just now realised that taking a screenshot on an iPhone is the power button and home buttons together, which explains Fn+F5).

      I updated installed packages / kernel in hopes of fixing the issue. No devices were detected even with a cold 4.1 install.

      @Pyjamarama thanks for confirming that. I thought it may have been an oversight on my behalf as the option appears to be there to remap. It woupdate be cool if this could be configured but I'm a bit of a noob ands wouldn't know where to start.

      @mattrixk
      Yeah when watching a movie you don't want the clicky sounds. I just use my wireless Xbox 360 controller with custom mapping when using Kodi but I do have my clicky little wireless keyboard/touchpad beside me if I need to type something.

      I also have an Xbox 360 Chatpad (which plugs into the bottom of the Xbox 360 controller) but I could only get it to work in RetroPie when plugged into the wired Xbox 360 controllers and it also has that same clicky sounds and it is missing a lot of important buttons I need (like the Esc button).
