      @escc1986 You can compile it and test it yourself. But yes I imagine it will get added into RetroPie officially

      You don't really need a 'splitter' , you can configure both controllers in RetroPie and then configure the emulator to use a particular controller when starting a game - with https://github.com/meleu/RetroPie-joystick-selection.

      @escc1986 said in Lightgun Question : How To Use Duel Wiimotes with Dolphenbar ?:

      My Question is Could you use 2 Dolphen bars and use 2 wiimotes to play 2 player ligh gun games on the pi4 ... if so does any one know how to do it ?

      I've never tried (I only have one bar) but I think that's how it is supposed to work. I suppose you use the bar in mode 2? This mode only supports one connected Wiimote. :(

      or Could you use 2 wii motes on 1 bar ?

      This would work in mode 4, right? This mode is used for the dolphin emulator, and I think it doesn't work with Retropie without proper drivers.

      There is a link I found recently, where someone made a high-precision Wiimote "driver" that works with 4 IR LEDs around the TV set. I suppose that this works a little like the Sinden Gun, but I have not come around to try this. Maybe if you have the time and dedication you could try this. Maybe it even works with multipe Wiimotes, I don't know?!

      Theory : im thinking but not certain , but maby i can have/enable duel mouse then it could work possibly ... but how do you enable duel mouse on retroarch on pi4 ?
      for mame2003 games

      As I said, I have never tried this. Maybe you can in a fist step try getting it to work with one Dolphin Bar (in mode 2) and a regular mouse?

      I found the solution, so I'm posting it here for anyone else that runs into this problem. This solution is for for those using a Dell 2007fpb monitor, and the Retropie install from ArcadeModUp.

      #1 Don't bother trying to use an HDMI -> DVI adapter, some monitors will immediately enter Power Save mode no matter what you do. Use an HDMI -> VGA adapter instead and save yourself the trouble.

      #2 You need to set the correct resolution on boot.

      Connect a USB keyboard to the Raspberry Pi and press F4 to enter the linux shell. Type:

      cd /boot
      sudo nano config.txt

      Find & change these 2 lines to:

      hdmi_group=2
      hdmi_mode=51

      Hit Ctrl-X, and Y to save the file.

      #3 The Dell 2007fpb monitor will ONLY work with 1600x1200 resolution. Since there is no reason to support any other resolution just edit your global retroarch.cfg file and set it there for everything.

      Here's how:

      Connect a USB keyboard to the Raspberry Pi and press F4 to enter the linux shell. Type:

      cd /opt/retropie/configs/all
      sudo nano retroarch.cfg

      Scroll down and find these 2 lines:

      video_fullscreen_x = "0"
      video_fullscreen_y = "0"

      Change them to:

      video_fullscreen_x = "1600"
      video_fullscreen_y = "1200"

      Hit Ctrl-X, and Y to save the file.

      Everything should work now just as well as it did before you replaced your monitor!

      I dont have any idea anymore atm.

      Just to test i wrote a Fresh 4.7.1 image, installed only lr-MAME2010 & lr-MAME2016, put in validated 0.139 STV-Roms and BIOS (both running on a Pi3 with AdvanceMAME), did not change anything in the settings, all default,...system freezes :/

      What i dont understand: why does it seem that i am the only one?
      Or is noone interested in STV? Dudes, that is the Arcade-Spin-Off of SEGAs Saturn, it is good! :)

      It is not that i am expecting that they are really playable, even on a Pi4.
      But that they lead to a Freeze of the System makes me mad :/
      With this Status i would have to delete them, i dont want anything freezing my system onboard.

      @slim-shady There isn't a native emulator for it, but you can run it through lr-mess.

      See this thread for details on how that core works, as it's a bit complicated to set up.

      I may have exceeded the maximum ‘user error’ level of stupidity here.

      Yeah, they promised to limit that variable to a bearable value in a future update of this universe fork, but I slowly begin to lose any confidence that they'll deliver that in my lifetime.

      This is the process I followed for that. I don’t see how this could be related but just in case.

      No, it's not related. Alas, I don't have any ideas - try using aptitude instead of apt, it's worth a shot.

      I mean they work in a sense that retroarch loads them up and recognises them but there is the tradeoff that lr-desume & lr-desume2015 do appear to have slower frame rates, brief freezes at loading points and audio drop outs.

      Whereas drastic is miles more stable and a higher compatibility, but won't have the libretro bells and whistles like achievements or overlays.

      Honestly if achievements are a deal breaker for you I'd play on a more powerful setup. Or wait until the lr core of drastic is released, whenever that will be (I think the Dev's own forum said sometime 2020 but, you know, 2020 things)
