      This actually helped:

OK I figured it out. I had to set the hotkeys manually rather than rely on the autoconfig.
For anyone else out there with this issue, what you need to do is open the RetroPie menu. Open RetroArch.
      Go to Settings>Input>Input Hotkey Binds.
Go down to Quit RetroArch, and set that to your Start button.
Next go down to Enable hotkeys, and set that to your Select button.
Go back up to the Main Menu within RetroArch.
      Open Configurations.
      Save Current Config.
      Back out and exit RetroArch.
You're good to go now for most emulators.

Yes. I have it set up with a Wiimote and a Dolphinbar. You plug the Dolphinbar into the first USB port (top left), which is the Player 1 slot. Set the DolphinBar to Mode 2 and sync the Wiimote with the Dolphinbar (you have to press the Sync button on both at the same time). That's pretty much it.

As for the games, the majority of the gun games I have are arcade games (Lethal Enforcers, Operation Wolf, etc), and just to separate everything from my regular arcade sets (Mame4All, FBA), I put all of my gun games into the Arcade folder, and set the default emulator for every game in that folder to AdvMame 1.4 (If you don't have it on your setup you may have to install it from the RetroPie menu). There is also now support for NES (Duck Hunt, etc), just make sure you have the default emulator for the gun games set to the lr-fceumm emulator, since it won't work in nestopia. Sadly, there is no console support for SMS or Genesis/Megadrive yet, as far as I know. Let me know if you have any other questions.

      I solved my concern.

In fact it is necessary to modify in the file advmame-1.4.rc the following line:

      input_map [p2_lightgunx] mouse [2, x]
      input_map [p2_lightguny] mouse [2, y]

Thank you in any case, I could not double cursor on any game.

So it seems to work, thank you.

By cons when I change the video for a game, when I restart the game it does not keep the video configuration in time, is this normal?

And I have to adjust game by play the touch of my wiimote. Is it possible to make a wiimote button setting that applies to all games and not play by game?

      should I edit the advmame-1.4.rc?

@MrLightgun thanks I just actually updated to the latest version of RetroPie release. I have been holding off because my setup was working great for the most part.

I’m almost done moving my cfgs over and making sure everything is working properly. I believe I will give this process a try and see how it goes.

If you followed Method 1 of the Wiimote Controllers guide before February 12, 2018, you should update your config to fix your d-pad and analog sticks.

@clyde That's right, edit 10 solved my initial query from the topic post, and edit 9 solved the second problem of poor wifi performance caused by wminput.

I think for most users who are trying to fix the latter issue, wminput -q -w would be perfectly acceptable. This way, wminput will keep searching (-w, waiting) for the Wiimote until it connects (clobbering wifi in the process). The "risk" here is that you can't find your Wiimote, or it's out of battery or something, so your Internet will go dead until you manage to get it synced. For me, when the entire network is relying on the Pi maintaining its connection, I'm better off with it timing out "just in case" the Wiimote isn't available, vs. the extra convenience of being able to connect any time after EmulationStation starts.

The biggest loss here is not being able to reconnect Wii Remotes after a disconnect, e.g. because of drained batteries, especially if it happens mid-game. Presumably you can SSH in and run attachwii again whenever you're ready to reconnect. Not terribly pretty, but for users who need their wifi up it's the best tradeoff I can see, short of changing how you handle your connections (e.g. wired internet, separate Bluetooth dongle, etc.)

There's probably a middle ground somewhere where you have a version of attachwii running in the background that periodically runs an hcitool scan and greps the result for your Wiimote, launching a wminput -q [-w] to reconnect if it finds it. Depending on how often you ran the scan it might not have the same devastating effect on your wifi, and it would otherwise be similar to running wminput -d, in terms of getting you (re)connected at arbitrary times. I'm just spitballing here though, I'm not sure how much impact hcitool scan has on wifi performance on a Pi 3 or other setups where BT/wifi interference is a major issue. For all I know, running hcitool scan constantly is just what wminput is doing behind the scenes that's causing all the problems.

EDIT: I also quickly threw together /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/ports/Attach Wiimote.sh:

      #!/bin/bash attachwii >/dev/null 2>&1

This can be run from the Ports menu in EmulationStation to sync the Wiimote without having to exit to command line to do it. It's of limited use, basically just if you forget to connect or get disconnected while you're in the EmulationStation menu. It's no help if you get disconnected mid-game, ssh is still the best option there currently.

The SNES ones also allow for a mouse, I think you need to set it up in the controls tab though. I've used it for Mario Paint.

Wiimote + Dolphinbar should work with RetroArch emulator cores as of the latest releases of RetroPie and RetroArch.

@weirdocollector Hi, I had the same problem, there would be a new thread and I didn't choose help. I solved it by updating to the latest kernel version, and updating retroarch.

@Bender2k no bt problems here. Do you have a heatsink on your processor? If so it could be causing issues. You could try turning the heatsink 90 degrees so the heatsink fins are facing another direction. The heatsink can act like an antenna and cause issues. Other than that not sure what to tell you to help you.
