@psyke83 There is some information in ticket I think - this was intentional. Supposedly doing a git pull on shallow clone can strain the github servers (a popular project was asked not to do this). Also a full history may be important in these cases anyway, for those that want to keep the source around.

Metal jesses on youtube received the test unit. There using a piorange. IDK if it's better or worse then the raspberry pi but they figured out to play games off the disk. Check it out on youtube for yourself.

Would I be able to edit things in folders that are currently denied because of permissions using this method?

I'm still not very happy that I can't edit the NstDatabase.xml file for Nestopia or all of the hoops you have to jump through to change control configurations. Would be nice if this method was a workaround for that.

sorry all for the slight derailment, but this forum has no private message system. @DIY_glenn, im looking to do something similar with my reset button on my nespi but lost on how to hook up the gpio and how to wright a script. Many you can make a thread to explain how you did it and help us others out. I really want to learn this stuff.

I posted annother small script for such purposes here
This creates a zip file for each rom and takes as backup the same folder as the rom located.

It took annother branch instead of searching all files that "could" be a savestate I said, every file with same name except the ROM-name is a savefile.

@mitu the emulated chroot is created via RetroPie-Setup. See admin/image module. It's created from raspbian lite image, so it's identical to a real install which is good for catching problems and dependency issues.

It's used for building the images too which uses qemu again on a pc.

I have an issue with 4.3 I cant save and load games with any conbination of hotkey

@dankcushions it's quite playable, although the sound isn't 100% correct, some minor artifacts as well. I did an update via source when I got the email it had released, and a binary just now which didn't seem to do anything more, so I wonder if it's worth doing another update from source. Hi-res works just as well as the normal emulator so that's most definitely the way to go)

I'll have to have a go on my Ubuntu build as well and see how that plays.
