As I had no need for it so far, that is beyond my knowledge - if you research it, keep in mind that there are more then one form of save|save-state/memory-dump: once the saves done via the libretro-functionality, then the saves done by none-lr emulators which offer such a feature and (maybe last) saves done from within the games themself (whether that means to insert a writable-image (save-disk, tape-file, whatsoever) or if it will be written next to the game-file may be dependend on the emulator/context (home-computer/console).

Nice idea.
I formalized your approach a little by utilizing an extra scriptmodule bashwelcomeextra.sh, which will also "survive" updates of the RetroPie-Setup.

With that the banner looks like this (some info redacted):

On RetroPie shell as user pi:

This has been updated, and now includes Flick Stick control mode:

You must select it in the "options" menu -> "gamepad" -> "sticks config" -> "layout" option.
Southpaw variant available, just like the rest of the layouts.
Just wanted to post, because it's probably the first game with this control method available in a Pi. Works with no issues in a RPi3B+.

I get a lot of errors trying to run this script, syntax errors and unexpected tokens. We're just copying what you posted into a .sh file?

In RetroPie, the moonlight-embedded variant is used and it's installable only for ARM boards (Raspberry Pi in general). While it has more features, the -qt variant might not offer many advantages for Pi users.

Did you test it on a Pi ? Does it work better than the -embedded version ?

Thanks for taking a look at this. I'm not familiar with this part, but I'll take a look later on.

Whatever you point of view is on this. I like to have peers (you, the other maintainers and also forum members) which help to streamline a change or fix. It was fun to solve this with you. :)

I tried the development version of 2.6.0 (=before it was released) on a RPi4 and 11th hour and Chewy: Esc from F5 worked well. Glad to know ScummVM devs are now satisfied with the quality and tagged 2.6.0 as release. :)
